Battle of the Sox's--Game Two, 3:10 CT
hankchifan replied to Ducksnort's topic in 2022 Season in Review
Need to be more patient and take some walks. Keep the running game going. Manufacture more runs. Select the best lineup possible. Don’t hit Pollock 2 nd. Like Robert 2 nd ahead of Abreu. These actions should help us in increasing runs scored per game IMO. -
He is bionic.
-
We still making it too close for comfort. We won’t take a walk, swinging at everything, need to be more patient. Fortunately our only walk scored in the 9th. Also we cannot hit Pollock second, he left everybody on base. He is hitting close to .100 since back from the IL.

Agreed. Pollock has been a bust this series. -

Pollock should not be hitting second. He is in a big funk and is a rally killer. -
Is this a Yogi Berra quote?
-
VV at least looks like a pitcher. DK looks like he is from the ZZ band.
-
Our third base coaching has been bad so far this season.
-
You are right no need to run with no outs andRobert coming up.
-
It was good that VV is throwing well. Our main Achilles heel on the pitching side is now Dallas Keuchel. Is he pitching at Fenway this weekend? It could be very ugly with DK throwing those lollipops out there. The Green Monster may be getting a workout.
-
It was not Jose’s finest game. Had 2 errors and that mental fart in the 9 th.
-
We dodged a bullet tonight with our bad D with the 2 Abreu errors and the a Engel misplay, but got enough runs and good relief pitching. We also finally activated our running game. Can’t win consistently with station to station baseball particularly when we are not hitting well.
-
I don’t think he even knows himself.
-
Maybe he is still in our payroll.
-
Bummer has been a bummer.
-
Only consolation is that we don’t have Goodwin anymore to pair him with Leury.
-
Are you serious? Hendriks is back on track, we have Graveman pitching well and Joe Kelly coming back. Robertson is like 10 years older than Eloy and can’t hit…
-
Take the C out, then he is a Sox.
-
We need to activate a running game. The dreaded double play ball has been back.

ESPN+ grades White Sox an F for first month.

Hasn’t TLR created a lot of the adversity himself with his many inexplicable and inexcusable on field decisions? Such as pitching to Buxton, hitting Leury 2 nd and 3rd, not pinch hitting Grandal for McGuire in a game situation, punting second game of a DH fielding a triple AAA lineup, over resting the stars, not pinch hitting with the stars if they are not starting a game, and so on… -
OK. My bad, nevertheless, he was our best contact guy with minimal Ks.

They reserved an F - - for the Reds. We tied the Nats with the F. -
ESPN + graded White Sox with an F for the first month of the season. Quoting TLR weird decisions like hitting Leury second and third in the lineup. Dallas Keuchel probably “ cooked”. Lack of depth. Positive point Michael Kopech is back.
-
Aggravated by hitting him 2 nd and 3 rd in the lineup while hitting under .100 line. Add vocabulary to the Mendoza line, now we have the Leury line.

Australia is a warm weather country. Not having Moncada and trading away Our best OBP guy Madrigal has not helped.
