Fans are an important stakeholder for the Sox, and should be listened too. I guess many players would not prefer a hard driven hard ass manager. Would prefer a low energy manager not pushing them too hard.

Madrigal trade was a big blunder. We had control, he is a .300 contact hitter which the Sox lacks and needs. A first rounder.

Nitengale: La Russa "definitely" returning to the Sox
hankchifan replied to Buehrle>Wood's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I don’t have the stats but my concern is if you want to hit home runs you need to get the ball up in the air. Sox have the third highest ground ball rate in the majors, not conducive to many homers. Sox do not play small ball or have a running game to balance out the many ground balls they hit. So we need to adjust our strategy next season having more runners in motion, be more patient to look for pitches to get up in the air and to take more walks. We need to activate more small ball as needed when we are not hitting the long ball. -

Homers or strikeouts or double plays. No running game whatsoever. Pure station to station baseball. No homers normally no wins. We need to adjust that strategy next season. My concern is that TLR hardly ever adjusts. He is set in his ways. It is a shame. -

Sad but true. -
Right on. The HFA was there for the taking. Too many punted games, Sunday lineups, Keuchel starts, over reliance on a resting strategy. Furthermore, it did not get the team into an aggresive, winning mode. .500 baseball was accepted as OK, as we would then have rested players for our 4 game playoff. That strategy was a bust. We needed to keep the foot on the pedal going to the playoffs.

Could you list the most positive contributions of TLR this season, and what were his blunders that need to be corrected. In your view what is his overall performance. In my view he had more blunders than positive contributions. -

We already had a good contact hitting 2B in Madrigal foolishly traded away. WHat analytics are you referring to? Certainly not those in reference to shifting. -

Right on. TLR is an embarrassment of a manager. He was exposed to the nation during the playoffs. We already knew with all his terrible decisions during the season. His HOF career was done several years back. His brand is in big decline. The fans and the Sox talent deserve a better manager that can get us to the top. -

This is bad news. Shouldn’t the fans have a say on TLR staying?. We are an important stakeholders. I am afraid we are going nowhere with TLR at the helm. I had suggested on an earlier. Post to name him manager emeritus a non executive advisory position. Then name a good bench coach to manage the game. Tony can sit/nap in the dogout and make suggestions, but no on field decisions. -
Agree. Also short term, we got stuck with Keuchel in the rotation, which probably cost us HFA.

Imagine paying big money, a first rounder Madrigal and a good reliever Heuer for a rental that pitched one inning in the playoffs, and sucked most of his time here, and precluded us from getting the RF that we needed. This is a fireable offense. But nobody will be held accountable, like the Trubisky deal with the Bears.
