I can’t imagine playing Goodwin in the outfield in the playoffs. There is no margin for error in a 5 games series, to take a chance with a AAA type erratic outfielder like Goodwin that can cost us a game.

Starling Marte or Kris Bryant would have looked pretty fine acquisition at deadline, instead of having to depend on scrubs like Goodwin.

A good defensive outfielder with pop, everyday player, was our main need at trade deadline, not 2 more relievers, especially an expensive reliever like Kimbrel.

Right on. Problem is that TLR is in station to station mode. Hope he adjusts for the playoffs , putting some Runners in motion when appropriate.

One takeaway from this game is that Ruiz should not be pitching in the playoffs in high leverage situations late.

Yes. Robert probably catches it, easier for him as he is taller than Billy. Goodwin chance of getting it is 1%.

I think he is our worst overall position player. He is not even hitting now ( hitting in the.220s). He is a terrible outfielder and a bad base runner. Send him out of town.

Goodwin should be sent out of town along with Mike Wright on a one wayGreyhound ticket to Charlotte. Would not like to see these guys in our playoff roster.

It is hard already to win this game with the mostly Charlotte Knights position players lineup, but you throw in Wright in a scoreless tie you are punting big time.
