We need to start building a win culture and momentum into the playoffs. These punted games are so deflating. Our bench has been exposed as AAA quality at best.

Not hitting home runs and not playing small ball either is a formula for failure. Our backups/bench is really bad. Should have invested some resources in position players not just on relievers.

Starling Marte would have looked great in our lineup. Power, defense, speed. More valuable than Kimbrel. Would have put a stop at the horrible outfield carrousel of Goodwin and Vaughn.

We need to play some small ball today with this lineup in this park. What about Billy trying a bunt for starters.

Gordo said on the broadcast that Vaughn was 4 for his last 46. Incredible he is playing and batting 5 th even more incredible. How many more runners does he need to leave on base before he grabs some bench? He is the guy in the lineup that needs the most rest.

As predicted, Vaughn leaves two men on again in the 1st, taking a third strike. He is 4 for last 47. Why is he even playing today or batting 5 th.? . TLR is just too stubborn. This guy is the one that needs most rest.

Will miss Leury in the bottom half of the lineup. He has been our hottest hitter after Grandal. At least, we wills get a Goodwin free game.

Vaughn hitting 5 th is an insult. 5-9 is AAA. Need to get production from 1-4 big time.

We are playing the wrong sport with all these 50 yards plus punts that we are getting up there. TLR never seems to have an urgency to win games utilizing all the weapons available to him. We need to have that killer instinct established in the team going forward. Some time we need to prioritize wins over resting too many players. Win culture is needed.

He swung at ball four and popped up. With Both Goodwin and Vaughn in the lineup, we can’t get anything going. They are rally killers. They need to grab some bench.

No. We need to play our A team all the time. No Keuchel, Goodwin, Vaughn. Not resting any stars in the playoffs. Go with the horses in the bullpen,no Ruiz, Burr, etc. Be able to play small ball when called for. Our runners in motion, try to avoid hitting into so many double plays..

Goodwin is by far our worst outfielder. He is a AAA player masquerading as a major leaguer.

Why is Keuchel still in the game? keuchel with a 94 pitch count is not conducive to a good result. Goodwin has been badly exposed in the outfield again. He should not be playing in the outfield anymore. Pinch hit duties at best.

You need to play more small ball in a big park like Oakland. Put runners in motion, avoid the double play, lay down an occasional bunt, work the count, get a walk, etc...
