  1. Kimbrel should not have been in, in a 7 run game in the first place. We may need him more tomorrow.
  2. Without Keuchel. Imagine if he gave up 6 runs to the Cubs in the first inning, would he even gotten one out against theYankees?
  3. TLR has to be one of the worse managers of bullpen in MLB, and certainly the worst 8th inning bullpen manager in the major leagues.
  4. No way. He has the worst stuff of anybody in our pitching staff. Too many gopher balls.
  5. I will need to add Leuryand Hernandez to my rally killer list of Mendick, Lamb, Goodwin, SEBY and Collins.
  6. Cubs have been an embarrassment. They are lucky that most of their fans come out to party and drink beer and not watch much of the game.
  7. Even Hayward has looked terrible in RFtonight. For a moment I thought it was Goodwin out there.
  8. I was very glad whenTLR didn’t rest any of our stars tonight, however he should have rested Keuchel.
  9. Should have let Cubs face Charlotte instead. They are in the same league.
  10. Could only be done with a lineup that did not include Mendick, Lamb, Goodwin, Seby and/or Collins, which are mostly rallykillers.
  11. I don’t think this Cubs team would be competitive in AAA ball now. It is not a major league quality team.
  12. I would say it is now the most dangerous lineup in the majors. Anybody can hit a home run at any time. There are no Goodwin, Lamb, Mendick, Seby or Collins weak spots to kill rallies. You can’t get an 8 run inning like tonight with those backups on the lineup. You combine this lineup with our starters sans Keuchel, you are very hard to beat.
  13. No Goodwin, Mendick, Seby, Collins or Lamb in the lineup helps along with none of our stars resting tonight. Only lineup issue was starting Keuchel
  14. He is not going to do that. He is a Cy Young Award winner who thinks he is still a Cy Young award winner type performer.
  15. Soxtalk tends to be on the pessimistic side, after so many years of frustration and disappointments. But with the full lineup back, except Engel, the needle will start moving towards the optimistic side now.
  16. Let’s take it one inning at a time. We don’t need to get all the runs in one inning!
  17. Could it have been poop instead of goop? He looked like poop tonight.
