  1. We need to hit and run more. We hit too many ground balls.
  2. A little late. If he would have came in the 8 th instead we probably win.
  3. Should have brought Kimbrel in the 8th not the 9th. Wasn’t Hendriks available tonight for the 9 th inning? I thought we were going for a Nasty Boys type strategy Kimbrel in the 8th and Hendriks in the 9 th as needed. Certainly not pitching Ruiz in the 8th.
  4. Need to have Engel in the outfield for his D as well as often as possible. Goodwin should not be playing in the outfield again. He probably cost us this game. His D is just atrocious.
  5. Cubs can get away with rebuild and still get fans in the party park. But the Sox can’t. Sox need to put a good product on the field to get the big crowds.
  6. Rickets bailed out after the pandemic cut back his revenues, and is counting on the party crowd to show up regardless of the product on the field. I think Marquee network audience will come down though.
  7. Cubs are now basically a big party and beer fest team, not a contending team. They will have to watch out for the pandemic cutting back on crowds/parties.
  8. Agree. We now have all these great relievers, but if we continue to leave many runs on the table and don’t score many runs, we are going to be behind the 8 ball at the end.
  9. But Yoan struck out twice with bases loaded, when it counted most. His homer was a Jose Canseco style gift by the Indians outfielders.
  10. Nonetheless the lack of Spider Tack may have caused Abreu getting hit on the helmet.
  11. Liam learnt his lesson from the SalvadorPerez homer to mix in more breaking pitches rather than challenge the big boys with fastballs in the zone.
  12. What also sucked was that both Sheets and Moncada took called third strikes with bases loaded. This is not going to cut it against the best teams, most of which got better at the trade deadline.
  13. Sheets at bat was awful. Swung at 2 balls over his head and then took a third strike that had all the zone. Moncada also took a 3rd strike with the bases loaded. Hamilton swung at a ball over his head to KO as well. That is why I was not too thrilled to see Madrigal go. We need more guys that put the ball in play.
  14. Keystone Cop defense by the Indians in the 8th. Looks like a team that has thrown in the towel and Franconia is out for the season as well. Minnesota traded Berrios and KC traded Soler, so our Division opponents are making it easier for theSox.
  15. Cubs type crowd of 36,000 at GRF tonight. Another sign of power shift to the South Side.
  16. A pleasant surprise. Admit wasn’t too thrilled seeing Ruiz come in the 8th in a tied game, after all this talk of our “Nasty Boys” type bullpen now.
  17. 9 left on base thru 6 may comeback to haunt the Sox. Sheets out at the plate hurt.
  18. It is inmaterial as Burr has sucked lately and was unlikely to come in the game tonight.
  19. Shouldn’t the Sox review our strength and conditioning programs with emphasis on pre game stretching? We have too many injuries as a whole.
  20. But 1-3 have more upside potential than 7-9.
  21. And also Goodwin. TLR loves lefty righty matchups regardless of player quality.
  22. Cubs were dismantled and downgraded to a AAA team today. Sad for a major market. All their current major stars are gone, on top of Darvish, Schwarber,Caratini at the beginning of the season. If I were a Cub fan, I would not be happy as they had a core group that could have contended, if the Cubs would have kept Darvish and invested in quality starting pitching. Their starters this season were pretty bad. All excitement in Chicago now belongs to the Sox. Let’s take advantage and take over Chicago baseball. Sox reign!
  23. I will miss Madrigal , he was one of the few Sox that put the ball in play and didn’t strike out much. We have lost quite a few games this season failing to move runners to third or striking out with men on third and less than 2 outs.
