    Both Heuer and Crochet looked better tonight than in recent appearances. It is the best takeaway tonight. Our offense has been more of a problem lately than the relievers.

    No chance with Tim’s impatience. He swung at ball 3.

    If Heuer can come around we don’t need to give the house away for a reliever.

    TA swinging at ball 3 when we need to bring the tying run to the plate. Do we have a more patient alternative for lead off? Tim swings at everything, not a good trait for lead off hitter.

    This is good news, as we need that 7 th inning effective reliever.

    Only guys throwing 95+ mph can get away with missing in the zone. Certainly not Keuchel.

    Guess that Collins is coming in for Zabala anyway , so Tony did not want to waste a hitter.

    Keuchel is our weakest starting pitcher now. No margin for error with his stuff when he misses over the middle of the plate like tonight.

    Maybe we should not hit Eloy cleanup until he gets his shit together. I would bat Vaughn clean up instead.

    Amen. I had posted earlier that we not let Soler beat us. He has now 4 homers in 2 days.

    Yes. No way Goodwin makes that play.

    As a lead off hitter he needs to be more patient, work more counts, be more selective; he is swinging at everything.

    Good to know, but still we had Hamilton available to come in defensively late last night for Goodwin.

    Leury has not been very good at second base lately either.

    All righties against the lefty. Defense should be better without Goodwin and Collins. Needed a break from those two’s defensive mishaps the last few games.

    Good observation. Vaughn has to be in the line up. He has been our best hitter against tough pitchers lately.

    Not surprised to see Jake go. League had learnt how to pitch him with sliders and other breaking pitches, which he could not hit. He needs to build on more discipline at the plate.

    The main problem with Goodwin is poor defense particularly in CF, not so much his hitting.

    He should get more reps hitting breaking pitches or he is not going to make it in the majors.
