Vaughn is very slow, and hits too many ground balls. His defense in general is poor. This is holding him back.

Could have used Schwerber. Hit 46 homers with Phillies and is a lefty. OF defense is not that good but no worse than Vaughn or Sheets. Joc Pederson is also a power lefty OF that signed With SF for $7M.

I would like to know whether there was talk about removing TLR during the season. It was a most logical move. The Jays and Phillies were scuffling and replaced their managers and now are in the playoffs. We stood pat and basically threw the towel with TLR at the helm.

Surprised that ex Sox pitcher Jose Quintana started the Cardinals first playoff game and went thru 5+ innings without giving up a run.
