How much longer can this team go to the well with losers like Grifol and Getz? If Grifol had any pride he should be resigning. He is got to be one of the worst managers in MLB history. This team needs to be shaken up now. Maldonado is 0-28 and the Maldonado line is now .080. Not any players are going to be below this line, so this record will be hard to beat. Another major embarrassment. He should be DFA. The Sox need more bats and more runs. Maldonado is an automatic out. Blowing the lead to the CUBS tonight should be the nail on the coffin and makes an urgent change a necessity.

The Sox players and coaches, front office and ownership should feel pretty embarrassed by their performance so far. Don’t they have any pride in their work and professionalism? The sad part is that they are not making any changes for the better. It is inexplicable that Grifol is still the manager. He is pretty clueless with horrible results. I read on a Tribune article that there is some sort of bromance between Grifol and JR. Need a change now, it can’t be worse that what we have now. They owe it to the fans. IMO.

The manager is incompetent. It is incomprehensive that Grifol has not been fired after such bad start with only 15 wins into June. The loss tonight threw Crochet under the bus. The Sox need a change now. Going back to the well with Grifol does nor work.

Zach defense has been horrible. That lazy tag was pathetic. The throw although high beat the runner by three feet. Zach should have blocked the base.

He was the worst, and also the most famous MLB ump. People only remember the worse umpires and not pedestrian umps. I myself remember umps like Angel, Bucknor, Laz Diaz and of course Country Joe West, but dont ask me about the better umps, don’t remember any.

You are right. Angel was the gold standard for bad umpiring.

It was reported in the press that he was negotiating a retirement settlement with MLB. He was the worst MLB ump in my life time. He was the only ump I checked to see before games if he was umpiring. He was the gold standard of bad umpiring. Good riddance.

Maldonado hitting .086 and Lee is hitting .275. The proof is in the Pudding. Sox should ask Maldonado for a refund.

Vaughn is a 1B hitting below the Mendoza line with mediocre defense, and no speed. Another first round failure by the Sox. IMO.

And what about trading ReyLo who now has the 3rd best ERA in MLB, 1.50, as a starter for the Braves.

Pedro is the best “deer in the headlights” manager in MLB. He should be replaced ASAP to shake the team up, as you cannot fire all the players. The buck on the field stops with Pedro.

Getz track record so far is pitiful. Keller, Nicky, Maldonado, Soroka, Ortega…..

Sox completely overmatched. Looks more like a college team vs the Bronx bombers.
