You are right. JR is pretty much destroying the Sox brand. It is not cool anymore to wear a Sox cap. IMO.

Sox this season do not have a stopper like Cease so it is hard to go on a winning streak or avoid losing streaks. IMO. Cease did a number without Vaseline to the Cubs yesterday , with a combined 1 hit shutout and 12Ks. Hope we got a worthwhile return for him from the Padres.

Grade: F-. Only winner is JR with a reduced payroll, and enjoying MLB revenue sharing regardless.

I would like to add that Maldonado is the closest to an automatic out in MLB. When they want to speed a game, just bypass his turn and add an out to the inning.

Getz should also go. His off season moves have been really bad. He just brought a bunch of older journeymen. The team is much worse than last year so far.

Burger trade was one of the worse trades of the KW/Hahn era, particularly with the anemic offense that we are showing this season.

Still I wish we kept Burger and traded Vaughn instead, but I guess the Marlins saw a bargain with Burger and grabbed it.

You are absolutely right. There were two men on with no outs, both on base with walks. The pitcher was wild. 3 &1 count and he swing at a ball on his ankle.. next time give him a take sign in that situation.
