No homers and we give up our homer friendly park advantage to the As with 3 homers so far. Our roster construction has failed. With our lineup performance at home, we might as well move the fences back. -

And at home. Another homer by Oakland. While we are warning track hitting. -

Sox don’t take walks, and opposing starters get to go deeper than our starters. Not a good formula. -

Not a good strategy at Coors and GRF. Can’t hit homers with ground balls. -

I think he may be living in Egypt now for all we know. -

TLR has not shown any sense of urgency this whole season. More worried about resting key players and playing scrubs like Leury than going all out to win games. TLR has been setting the no sense of urgency tone. -

The manager is dead, the bench coach is dead, the hitting coach is dead on arrival, so there is no leadership or accountability. Nothing will change with TLR and his team in charge. Same old, same old. -

He got one and gave away possibly 3. Should include in Sox Math. -

Guess TLR prefers the matchup lefty- righty with Sheets than righty-righty. With Vaughn. -

You are right. If you do not hit homers at Coors Field and at GRF, you will normally lose. We are down 3-1 tonight because of a 3 run homer. -
Why couldn’t we compete for Benintendi? He is the one needed to get us over the top. White Sox are a big market team acting like a small market team when these opportunities arise. We might as well go after Gallo then, as he is now more expendable and we could possibly get a better deal. We desperately need a lefty power hitting outfielder. It is our #1 priority by far. Pull the trigger Hahn.
-
You are right. He is sometimes late to call a home run. I would also delete the Sox math. That is tedious and gimmicky.
-
The Guardians are better than the Twins. They are the ones we should worry more about. We haven’t played well against Cleveland this season.
-
Jimmy Lambert had a one pitch relief role today. He could have pitched the 9 th as well IMO.
-
Rich get richer. Others unwilling or unable to spend keep falling farther behind. That is the life of MLB without a salary cap, like other major sports.
-
According to Benetti it was 15 mph off the bat. It looked more like 1 mph. I would have pinched hit Eloy for Leury.
-
Part of the problem is that our starters rarely go more than 6 innings.
-
We sure could have used both Robert and Eloy (second game) at Coors. We had a major power outage and a clinic in hitting ground balls.
-
What is the use of many more relievers when we have a bad outfield with poor defense and no everyday lefty, and a power outage team playing at homer friendly GRF. We don’t score enough runs and most relievers are always in high leverage, close games late, situations. IMO is like placing the cart before the horse. Let’s beef up everyday position players so we can get more runs and not have to depend on relievers so much.
-
Maybe change the name of the team to Chicago Hospital Sox and the logo to a Red Cross.
-
Right on. If we go down, we go down airing it out. No nibbling, just go right at them. There is no defense for walks.

Has TLR ever heard of a guy named Cal Ripken Jr?
