  1. I'm just telling you what Spotrac has published. As I said previously I am not saying whether it is right or wrong. If you say it is 100% wrong and have some other site that says different....then post it. Go to Spotrac and check for yourself.
  2. Actually Steve Stone is the key man in the booth. I will be fine with Kasper with Steve and no Jason. Jason's humor is getting old quickly.
  3. I know what you meant and agreed with you. I should have started my post with I was bored too. Regardless of how talented Jason and Len are, they are not a match together.
  4. According to Spotrac, Mercedes signed a 1 year/$570,500 contract with the Chicago White Sox In 2021, Mercedes will earn a base salary of $570,500, while carrying a total salary of $570,500. At Spotrac it shows him being n UFA after this season. I'm not saying you couldn't be right and perhaps they made a mistake, but they are usually right on with their facts. I pray Eaton departs!
  5. No! I assume that was humor! lol I meant Hahn all day long! Hahn has been in charge of this team and rebuild the entire time except for the one absurd time when TLR stepped in. TLR had to erase his guilty pathetic feelings for 35 years ago, when he didn't have the common sense to fire Hawk Harrelson and not allow Hawk to fire TLR back then. Hahn is clueless and senile and has no clue on the ability of his players or what and how to sign them.
  6. That is because you had Len and Jason doing the game and that was two play by play guys. The normal booth is to have a play by play guy and the baseball expert/color analyst. lol
  7. You obviously haven't been paying attention to all the moves Hahn has made over the last few years of this rebuild. FYI, not only are the Sox all in to potentially win a WS this year, but Hahn has them set up for many more years to come. Per Spotrac, a site that list all salary contracts and details for all sports, the following Sox players are set to hit Free Agency in the following years: Abreu - '23 Giolito - '24 Grandal - '24 Anderson - '25 Hendricks - '25 Moncada - '26 Heuer - '26 Kopech - '26 Cease - '26 Jimenez - '27 Madrigal - '27 Crochet - '27 Bummer - '27 Robert - '28 IDK, but it sure seems like we can go for the WS for a few more years. The only free agents after 2021 are Lynn, Rodon and Mercedes. Save your research my friend, Kopech isn't being traded.
  8. The good news is the only person who matters here is Rick Hahn. There is no way he is trading Kopech. Hahn has publicly stated that Kopech is a huge part of the White Sox starting rotation in the future years as a premium starter.
  9. Kopech isn't being traded. Hahn loves him and has been quoted as saying he is a big part of the Sox future as a premium starter in the rotation. Plus Kopech was already brought here on a so called "haul" trade. Hahn's first big trade of the rebuild was trading Chris Sale to Boston to get Kopech and Moncada and three other prospects that didn't work out. Kopech has too much talent and upside for Hahn to give up on him, especially since Kopech has missed the last 2.5 years due to Tommy John surgery and Covid Opt-out.
  10. The only weak and troublesome starter of the four is Keuchel who absolutely sucks and is our weakest starter in the rotation. Hopefully Rodon's last outing was an aberration.
  11. I sure hope so. If not today then I would hope during this 4 game series against Detroit.
  12. Wow, based on this ridiculous BS stat, we should probably disregard the fact that once again Jose is leading MLB in RBI's with 46 and since the 2020 season, he is #1 in baseball with 106 RBI's in 111 games over the past two seasons. I wish MLB would go back to the old stat of game winning RBI's that they kept from 1980-1988. I think Jose would be among the league leaders in that category as well. However maybe you're right and it's time to panic. You should probably call up Rick Hahn and give him this insightful information. You could suggest maybe he trade him at the July trade deadline and get some prospects for him. You should tell Hahn to be proactive and trade him now, so we don't have to worry about Jose letting us down in the clutch in the '21 playoffs. LMAO!
  13. Again as I said in my reply to you, teams looking to hire an baseball executive don't do it in front of the fans and media. If you don't think Hahn would be coveted by tons of teams then you are really clueless in how hard it is to find and keep a great GM/VP/PRES. When The LA Dodgers stole away Andrew Friedman from Tampa Bay a six years ago, to go from TB GM to Pres of Dodgers baseball operations, the Tampa fans and media were shocked and had no clue until it was announced.
  14. When owners interview for an high level VP/Pres position, it is usually done privately and confidentially. Furthermore you don't need any evidence if teams are lined up, as Rick Hahn has done a hugely successful rebuild thus far. Any MLB team in need of a top notch executive would probably put Hahn on their interview list. His credentials and track record speak for themselves and are as strong as any current GM/VP in baseball. It would be a huge loss if Rick Hahn left. However knowing how clueless, ignorant and pompous Jerry is; it shouldn't shock anyone if Hahn left due to Jerry's stupidity.
  15. Hopefully our players know that violating the TLR outdated unwritten rules against the Twins was bad enough...and now if they dare do it again against his old team, there will be holy hell to pay in the TLR doghouse. ?
  16. To announce his resignation as the GM/VP of the White Sox due to irreconcilable differences with the chairman/owner Jerry Reinsdorf. LOL
  17. Yes first place now, but based on this 3 game series with NYY, you can clearly see it isn't a confidence the Sox stopped hitting and pitching right after the national embarrassment and stupidity of TLR's remarks about Yermin. I'm sure it couldn't also be from the heavy dense smothering of the team swagger and having fun aspect, that were drained from them as a team. I'm also sure it cant be that the team knows the manager doesn't have their back. I'm also couldn't be that the team is playing so poorly because of the mindset of walking on eggshells around TLR. It's shameful and disgusting TLR doesn't have the wisdom and people skills to know it would be the right thing to apologize to Yermin. It's also sad the arrogant and outdated TLR can't call for a team meeting to apologize to the team and try and get them back on his page.
  18. In that fictional scenario, if Reinsdorf was dumb enough, which I guess we know he is, to actually make such an absurd decision of letting Rick Hahn go and keeping TLR and makin him manager/GM, then you will have witnessed one of the dumbest owner decisions in the history of baseball. Absolutely for sure Reinsdorf would have finalized his legacy as the dumbest and worst owner in sports history. News flash to all the TLR defenders on this forum who think RH isn't that valuable or excellent as the Sox GM/VP...The day RH leaves or is fired, RH will have a ton of teams bidding for his services. When that happens, Jerry will be setting this franchise back so far that the thought alone, is sickening and depressing.
  19. I agree with you but this is only going to happen when Rick and Kenny both agree to sit down with Jerry and force the issue of getting rid of TLR. Although realistically the senile and pompous Reinsdorf will continue to be his typical clueless and naive self and tell them no.
  20. I don't think Hahn regrets firing Renteria, as he might have been a fun manager to play for, but he was just as bad as TLR in game time management and strategy. I think what Hahn regrets most is his pompous senile owner, who didn't let him as the GM/VP make his own decision on who should be the manager to replace Renteria. LOL!
  21. You really are clueless Tray! We all get LaRussa will unfortunately be here the remainder of season. What we are upset about is he is running this team in such a negative manner and making a lot of manager mistakes. This bombastic approach of TLR is going to potentially hurt this team mentally and could affect the success of this team. This type of national negative criticism is not a good thing for the Sox. Nor is it a good thing for a high energy young team that plays with fun and a swagger...to know they have to play for a senile and over the hill manager that DOES NOT HAVE THEIR BACK. You are right about one thing which is the season will proceed on...but if it continues with all this TLR BS crap, this cannot be good for the morale and success of the team.
  22. Well said and I totally agree with you that this is the key issue and problem here. It's a basic 101 leadership/management skills approach. You praise in public and criticize in private. How would anybody on this forum feel if at their work, their boss was mad at them for something they did wrong and yelled at them in front of all their fellow employees? You deal with negative comments behind closed doors. Plain and simple. What TLR did to throw both Yermin and Lynn under the bus publicly is disgusting and ignorant management practice. I am sure TA7 is trying to rally the boys. I just worry to what damage TLR can do to damage this season in terms of getting in their heads the wrong way. We all know this team is not only talented, but lives with a swagger that loves to have fun playing. I can't imagine playing for a manager that doesn't have your back...is a lot of fun.
