  1. Well , we’ve gone from mediocre to embarrassing. But we were embarrassed before technically
  2. Well the team was sharper when they had the scrubs in the first half providing the energy and focus for sure. Kimbrel was just a dumb move that poured gas on the fire. This group is a bad bunch of coconuts. In the FO you gotta be able to see problems and weaknesses, and react ahead of time in some instances. They desperately need a new set of eyes like the Bears.
  3. Hahn has to go. He put together a poorly constructed operation. If he listened to his owner in the process, well that’s unfortunate. Maybe you quit first, at the point where you are forced to do a bad job.
  4. The schedule should keep them within 2.5-4.5 games back the rest of the way without much doing. Winning wont excite me, but run differential will. That’s the rope for me.
  5. speaking of Colson Montgomery, you can call him Mr 100 for now. He made it.
  6. How fast is Montomery? He doesn't look 'slow', but he did do that Madrigalesque wired up segment when he was claiming to be very slow. Slow might inhibit his outfield career.
  7. you're on vacation, chilling by the pool watching the game, and 2 hookers come up to you offering anal. What do you do? What. Do. You. Do?
  8. OZZIE SAYS ITS RIDICULOUS ALL THESE YOUNG GUYS IN THEIR 20s NEED REST
  9. Fegan, via The Athletic, said second baseman Lenyn Sosa is a prospect that could be traded in the coming weeks. While trading away the promising 22-year-old might surprise some fans, Fegan said a potential move would be due to Chicago being "light on near-major-league-ready pieces." Sosa has been absolutely crushing it in Double-A Birmingham this season. The Venezuelan phenom is tied for the Barons' team lead with 14 home runs, pacing all of his teammates with 48 RBIs as well. That isn't even to mention his .331/.384/.549 slash line and 141 total bases amassed. Sosa's efforts earned him a call-up to the majors just over a week ago, but it didn't go as planned. He recorded a hit, two runs and one walk in four games (12 at-bats), batting .083. Nevertheless, it's hard not to imagine him producing better than that when he's called up next. Parting ways with a top prospect like Sosa would be tough, but it's worth it if the return helps the White Sox return to the playoffs. The 2022 MLB trade deadline takes place at 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Aug. 2. https://theathletic.com/3388169/2022/06/29/mlb-trade-deadline-moves/?source=emp_shared_article
  10. Some day an author will do a deep dive on Oscar Colas and get to the bottom of this. ?
  11. It’s really difficult seeing him have more than 1 or 2 good seasons in him at the most. I would never resign this guy.
  12. Frank Thomas skipped AAA. All that matters is if a guy can play if called up. Sosa never really had a chance. Colas should be encouraged if players in the org can skip AAA. OTOH, if Colas is friends with Yolbert…..That conversation between them might be negative if they feel stuck
  13. I would bet money it’s a misunderstanding as far as what the story is actually about. Even if he was held back too long (for his taste), he can’t be stupid enough to start a self immolation process at an important part of his career that is so far successful. Impatience can’t make a sane person do this right?
  14. If Eloy embraces his future as a first base/DH guy, Im down.
  15. These are the droids we were not looking for
  16. Basically, the way JR has never fixed the farm system is the center of the dysfunction. Always wanted to be smarter than the rest of MLB by doing it the JR way. His franchises have always had a funky scent
  17. And strangely, they are NOT paying for the honor like the White Sox were. They just felt like kicking their own ass .
  18. So, pitching experts., what may we attribute to Cease having more success the last couple times put to right the ship? Gotta bottle that stuff. The Sox might be able to survive with a big 4 of Cease, Lynn, Cueto and Kopech, Giolito having velocity issues is making me feel like we are rolling the dice if the Sox make the playoffs and Giolito is forced into a prominent rotation roll at a low velocity package.
  19. I will be exited about the Angels being shorthanded, and bumslaying after the team consistently plays good baseball. Until then we are just another crab in the barrel.
  20. Sometimes when you win, you really lose. And sometimes when you lose, you really win. And sometimes when you win or lose, you actually tie, and sometimes when you tie, you actually win or lose. Winning or losing is all one organic mechanism, from which one extracts what one needs
