  1. Imho, they should take a hard look at the roster, and make a cold assessment about the talent on the team. If you’re assessment tells you this group comes up short, you don’t have the luxury of underpowered, yet wise “veterans”. You bring up your best people in the organization and let it ride. Some of the best, most loose teams have been groups of kids that don’t know any better. These guys are tauiite. /Austin Powers
  2. Aside from Burger, the other guys are only supporting actors. But you need a production first. Harrison and Mendick can go find other things to do while this team retools.
  3. I don’t see why not. The roster has been talked about as possibly disengaged, from Kuechel, to Ricky, to Stoney (Moncada), to Ozzie. It certainly can’t break what’s already broken, and you cross bridges when you come to them.
  4. Just in general, I have often wondered if the Sox would ever break up the Cubans ?
  5. The international signings (outside of the massive Cuban contracts) is historically the biggest failure. And then they go ahead and trade Tatis for what they really love. But they dont draft well either. Although we thought they were on a bit of a nice first round run there with Rodon, Crochet, Vaughn and Madrigal
  6. Yeah. And the Sox are the perfect franchise that should copy the Rays model.
  7. SS is a problem with no satisfactory solution. Who knows what they ultimately do with Sosa, but I think they like their MLB scrubs right now. I would DFA Harrison in a heartbeat and play Yolbert every day at 2B if he’s ready. The problem I am having is that the Sox have locked themselves into Harrison and Leury in 2022 for no good reason. They can launch someone at any time. They should get on with it. Or are we supposed to believe Harrison is some kind of essential veteran for a postseason run that may or may not happen?
  8. Looks like they are going with Mendick right now because they don’t want to disturb their elegant Leury/Harrison second base plan. Yolbert is more the long term solution they don’t seem to want to try.
  9. Oh check that. We can still have multi guys having RBIs today.
  10. If the Sox do win, it’ll still be another game one guy had every RBI. The streak can still live!
  11. Just came back home to see. We’ve gone from one guy each day having all the RBI, to…nobody
  12. Trade all our bad broke down players for good players
  13. Obi Hahn’s failure…is complete
  14. Tony may be interested to learn that the flag wasn't created for the military.
  15. Ryan Poles has the right idea. Guys that get hurt, he basically doesn’t even consider in his acquisitions. Ogunchobi was a mistake he quickly dismissed, but I am sure Poles wouldn’t have signed him if he already knew about the problem. Draft picks have to have good xrays and history.
  16. Yeah that’s the sad part. Making the playoffs is one thing. A World Series team they are not. 2005 was a fluke, the competition out there seems too good to expect this group to compete over multiple series in the post season.
  17. I see them as finishing with less than 90 wins. 10 games above .500 best case scenario. Whatever that gets them.
  18. A new era of accountability after the Gas Can Kuechel news? But Harrison is batting one eighty nothing. So that can’t be it. All bets are off. The FO has to Tonyproof the lineup. But we know this. Moncada could be hurt. But lets not act like it’s impossible he might not be hurt.
  19. Rejoicing is not the word I would use. Relief. Relief that someone took the shovel out of the guy’s hand that was digging furiously at the bottom of the hole in the front yard. And beat that guy over the head with it. And, we are relieved the hole in the front yard stopped getting deeper.
  20. I can’t help but say that yes, there are other options than trotting DK out there every 5th game as has been weirdly argued. Such as, not trotting him out there.
