I just think not signing him was a luxury the White Sox could not afford. Signing him was not the luxury. Not signing him was the luxury. The Sox were delusional about their situation.
The hitters stopped fouling him off. That bothered me as far as what he could get away with in velocity. I think they stopped swinging at so many pitches
fair enough, but the Sox are abysmal in getting value for prospect trades for old dudes. These guys should learn to just say no, and try other avenues.
I think the Sox delivered a Larussa model then. 5 or 6 starters, and platoon everything else with people that nominally all can play musical chairs. This is fine.
