They finally gotta pick a lane on some people and move on. That said, a few ST games aren’t convincing yet. Just going by what TLR says about Adolfo for now. He should have a chance to win a job, but he doesn’t?
Collins
Vaughn
Burger
Sheets
Adolfo (ok )
The White Sox have managed this situation so well, “A talent” will be lost for basically nothing. Lets see how many guys we can have stand around the water cooler looking for opportunities to show what they can do.
Yoelkis keeps displaying the flashy tools. Not that I saw the throw. But this season Vaughn has RF, so Yoelkis would need to have epic MiLB stats and for Vaughn to collapse to get RF. Almost no chance without injuries
Effective reliever? Sure. What got everyone geeked was 100mph Crochet that had Sox fans with dreams of Randy Johnson and Chris Sale in their heads. It’s disappointing any way you slice it. But it’s his first day on the mound. Some guys build up to the true gas.
Vaughn is already negating a Conforto move, like it or not. Not to mention all the homegrown players the Sox have to find money to negotiate new deals for in the coming years
I believe the Sox were FOS a lot. Especially for Machado. The approach was basically to offer Machado what they think he should like better than what Machado wanted. It was a weird offer. Poison pilled their pursuit. Seemed a lot of it was like a public relations stunt. Have it our way! Would have been funny if Machado actually accepted the offer. This is what circumspect means.
the Sox are not volume players in mega dollar deals, I don’t know why you suggest they are..
Exactly. It is like people didn't think Hahn was serious or something. Dismissed out of wishful thinking? Believe who someone is, when they are telling you who they are.
The Sox have been very very circumspect when the mega dollar deals are in play for outsiders. I believe Hahn.
Ive seen Robert stay back and swing like that to keep the bat in the zone when he guesses wrong a little bit. That’s a talent, and he has the reserve strength there. Of course his problems have been swing and miss, so…..
I am stills trying to understand how signing another outfielder reconciles with Hahn’s self imposed mandate to get ML ABs for Vaughn and Sheets. I don’t see it happening just based on Hahnspeak.
likely story, lower half strength lol. 5 or 10, maaaaaybe. 20 lbs is a TON. More likely he's been hitting the Vegas buffets, and needs to get some cardio done.
Leury and Harris are gonna play a lot, they are getting paid. Adding a right fielder at this point just means Jerry Reinsdorf is wasting his money these days. Doubtful.
