  1. Hey we can win games someday if there are not any 2 run errors comitted. Thats the good news.
  2. Well the good news is, we can conceivably win ballgames someday if we wouldn’t commit 2 run errors
  3. Crochet doesn’t look great out of the stretch
  4. And then the Angels pitchers have gotten lots of breaks for at least the first 2 games.
  5. Between the way Collins has looked as a pure catcher, don’t see why Mercedes can’t be getting at least some starts as a catcher.
  6. He practices non violent passive aggressive behavior against that moron yelling at him from the seats.
  7. Gotta say the difference in plate presence between him and Mercedes is huge. As well as confidence.
  8. Looking back at that homer, his hands were so quiet keeping that inside pitch fair. Nice. Other times he whips that bat so quick through the strike zone
  9. Hard to tell anything positive yet, but he’s been making the few plays that come to him. He doesn’t seem any slower than Eloy thats for sure. Somehow he seems surprisingly adequate. I can’t see anything thats been negative so far. I like him in left more than at first if he can learn the job. Let Eloy learn how to play first, because I bet after it all shakes out that Vaughn will be a better left fielder than Eloy.
  10. Wondering if this board or if the Sox double play combo make more errors this year
  11. We can’t lead the league in errors at SS and SB and expect things to be easy for the team
  12. Leury Garcia is just another guy that the Sox can’t seem to get out of the lineups, like Yolmer Sanchez and Delmonico. So anyway, what is the strategy having Garcia batting 6 and Robert 7?
  13. Garcia 6th over Robert is weird 1. Tim Anderson, SS 2. Adam Eaton, RF 3. José Abreu, 1B 4. Yoán Moncada, 3B 5. Yasmani Grandal, C 6. Leury García, LF 7. Luis Robert, CF 8. Zack Collins, DH 9. Nick Madrigal, 2B Lucas Giolito, P
  14. If Palka can play in the outfield and ever be acceptable as a possibility, Vaughn has a shot.
  15. If they bring in somebody else ittll just hold back collins ultimately. They probably want to give him a full run at it
  16. He looks lean and mean . Runs pretty good down the line for what I was expecting. But as far as what kinds of jumps he is getting haven’t really seen. But Robert is cheating his way
  17. Rutherford, Adolfo and Gonzalez must not be able to play the game at MLB level if none of them can get in on some of this action. If Nick Williams is in everybody’s way at this point, yeesh. Still holding out faint hope that the organization is only desperate for Collins and Vaughn to get their shots this season. Anyway, the Sox being able to be dinged for rigid outlook on service time issues seems to be over
  18. He was good before Katz arrived is what Im saying. This is about Katz “fixing” everyone, and Lopez and Cease are still questionable. Rodon wasn’t really broken either. He was always banged up.
  19. It was an easy “fix” for Giolito, he wasn’t really broken. Don’t get me wrong, Ive been very enthusiastic about Katz, and remain optimistic. But we may have been buying in too easily to the golf contraptions, and the free curveballs in the new administration. So far Lopez is Lopez , and again, Cease has reminded us that he is Cease. Rodon looks good, but last year was sort of a mulligan for him. If he is at full strength and has had more time to work on his pitches instead of physical rehab, his progress if we do buy into it seems like it could have as much to do with circumstances as Katz.
  20. Actually his last outing has me shook as far as how much actual progress has been made.
  21. Agree. If only because he was Gio’s guy and making full use of organizational assets with a trade. And JM being a little younger was important ( to me at least) because I’m skeptical on Collins and the Sox don’t have catching in the pipeline. In the end I think switch hitting ability is a factor.
