  1. He looks lean and mean . Runs pretty good down the line for what I was expecting. But as far as what kinds of jumps he is getting haven’t really seen. But Robert is cheating his way
  2. Rutherford, Adolfo and Gonzalez must not be able to play the game at MLB level if none of them can get in on some of this action. If Nick Williams is in everybody’s way at this point, yeesh. Still holding out faint hope that the organization is only desperate for Collins and Vaughn to get their shots this season. Anyway, the Sox being able to be dinged for rigid outlook on service time issues seems to be over
  3. He was good before Katz arrived is what Im saying. This is about Katz “fixing” everyone, and Lopez and Cease are still questionable. Rodon wasn’t really broken either. He was always banged up.
  4. It was an easy “fix” for Giolito, he wasn’t really broken. Don’t get me wrong, Ive been very enthusiastic about Katz, and remain optimistic. But we may have been buying in too easily to the golf contraptions, and the free curveballs in the new administration. So far Lopez is Lopez , and again, Cease has reminded us that he is Cease. Rodon looks good, but last year was sort of a mulligan for him. If he is at full strength and has had more time to work on his pitches instead of physical rehab, his progress if we do buy into it seems like it could have as much to do with circumstances as Katz.
  5. Actually his last outing has me shook as far as how much actual progress has been made.
  6. Agree. If only because he was Gio’s guy and making full use of organizational assets with a trade. And JM being a little younger was important ( to me at least) because I’m skeptical on Collins and the Sox don’t have catching in the pipeline. In the end I think switch hitting ability is a factor.
  7. Since he went there, it’s 12 strikouts. And we’ll throw Riley Greene at you as well https://mobile.twitter.com/GetRealOddsMLB/status/1373636764234100736
  8. A pulled hammy causes Cheesy Beef’s red phone to ring? But I will say since the subject of right field is brought up, that Blake Rutherford must really be a lost cause. He is never in any conversations about getting a shot.
  9. in a normal season, at least he would have had a chance to recover.
  10. From what I’ve been reading about a week ago, he has been. And he thinks he solved it a little at season’s end
  11. Check that, curveball? Albeit a mistake. Robert hitting breaking balls this year uh oh.
  12. Just noticing that everybody is up in the dugout for a spring training home run
  13. In before “concerns” . But seriously, none. Another day where the pitchers that count do their jobs is yet another good day.
  14. the Sox suck at prospect for ml talent trades?
  15. TLR is certainly getting Giolito a lot of work this spring. But we need to he seeing more Cease and Rodon. Kuechel? Guess Kuechel has achieved his status, but he needs work too. keep waiting year after year for Adolfo to be somebody. Ah well, probably not happening.
  16. https://mobile.twitter.com/whitesox/status/1369741583944359940
  17. That being said, prior to the last few years, the FO has been exhausting for a lot more than two decades
  18. He's beginning to sound like the pitcher's Walt Hriniak.
  19. Go’ be like Hoyt Dotson Bannister and Burns up in here!
  20. Pretty much. Money finds it’s way onto the field
  21. If he has lost a step, relegated to corner with all the muscle added, and now he is incapable of CF, that could be one added reason to get gigged.
  22. This is unrelated as a comparison, but similar in a way. Way back in the last century, Bally’s had a ridiculous gym membership offer for $7 a month which I gladly signed up for but never used. A great deal, for Bally’s. Which is the thinking. Few people really use their gym membership lol. May as well offer it for $3 a month. Free money. Which is also similar to life insurance. People buy it, but most eventually stop paying for it somewhere along the line. So the insurance company doesn’t have a bunch of people that actually cash in. Free money. But anyway TA will be best served if they don’t drive a hard bargain on price to drive buyers out of the market. Even if they offer it for a dollar a month to as many people as possible. Its not like it increases their overhead to give out more subscriptions. A very lucrative move. A dollar a month.
