  1. Yeah, it seems like people are trying to shove 3-4 DHs on a 26 man roster and that's not gonna work.
  2. There is no place to drink before/after the games. Have to get it all in during.
  3. You are likely to run a fever or have other minor side effects in the 24-48 hours immediately after the vaccine--especially the 2nd dose. That's a sign that the vaccine is actually working. That's not a sign that the vaccine is bad for you.

  6. Vaughn is not on the 40, and if Lucroy makes the team he will also need a spot. I don't see any way Mercedes can keep his spot on the 40.
  7. Indiana has opened things up to anybody age 50 and up.
  8. I'm in the camp of Vaughn needs to be the starting DH on Opening Day. 1) Sox didn't acquire anybody else to be the DH so there's a hole in the lineup for the first two weeks without him and the Sox need to win every game they can 2) Either due to a CBA change or a contract extension, there's a good chance the service time issue will go away anyway
  9. I get that in the first week of Spring Training coming off a COVID year that there are a limited number of pitchers and pitches available each day, but if we're going to make up rules and allow a team to end an inning early, then how about allowing the runners to go back out on base to start the next inning?
  10. Bears defense needs this feature when playing Aaron Rodgers. 10 plays into the drive with 1st and 10 at the Bears 18 and the Bears can just end the drive.
  11. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/02/28/nfl-17-game-schedule-zach-wilson-fmia-peter-king/ " A note about how the league configured the extra game: When the NFL was choosing options, the formula that prevailed—follow me now—was AFC versus NFC, cross-conference matchup from two years ago, 2021 matchup based on 2020 standings. Now that you’re totally confused, here’s an example: The four AFC West teams played the four NFC North teams in 2019. In 2020, Kansas City finished in first place in the AFC West, Green Bay first in the NFC North. So in 2021, it’s AFC West against NFC North, and 1-versus-1 from ‘20 becomes Green Bay versus Kansas City." This is the first I've seen defining the 17th opponent for 2021. Based on this formula, the Bears 17th opponent would be the 2nd place team from the AFC Division the Bears played in 2019, which makes the Oakland Las Vegas Raiders the Bears' opponent. AFC is supposedly hosting all of these games, so the game would be in Vegas
  12. JJ Watt going to [a team that used to play in] Chicago.
  13. Is all the newish stuff in the South Loop not close enough to count?
  14. I would like to see the Bears build a retractable roof stadium at at different site. It would bring more college football games and possibly a Super Bowl to Chicago. Plus, it would free up Soldier Field to be converted to a BASEBALL STADIUM!!
  15. Phil Mickelson won at 48, but he's had no major surgeries.
  16. That's how everybody wrote back when TLR was young.
  17. Unless Vaughn ends up being capable at 3B or RF, he'd have to put up a ridiculous OPS at a 1B/DH to have anywhere near the value of Tatis. At this point it's too late to find another DH for this season, but earlier in the offseason, I'd have been willing to part with him for a top tier SP with 3+ years of control.
  18. Tiger Woods was in a single-car rollover accident in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, had to be extradited via jaws of life, and was taken to a hospital. Condition unknown. EDIT: injuries are "moderate to critical" whatever that means
  19. Trask might be better than Foles over the next couple years, but he's not a franchise QB. I really think the Bears need to just write off the QB position while they beef up their OL/DL and improve their cap situation.
  20. If any of Slater, Vera-Tucker or Darrisaw is available at 20 and the Bears go another direction, I'll be incredibly upset. If all three of those guys are gone, I'd like to see what kind of trade down offers are available or see what kind of offers for QBs are there.
  21. It's that he's an asshole. There are assholes on both sides of the political spectrum. For every thing he says, you can find someone else who said the same or similar thing that isn't an asshole.
