  1. If you're trying to smoke cool-aid, you've probably already smoked some other stuff.
  2. Never mind the pitchers, a bunch of hitters who don't hit the ball in the air is going to be the real problem there.
  3. I have no issue with trading Eloy and Sheets. Edited to add: Pirates probably not interested in Eloy because of his salary so maybe get a 3rd team involved?
  4. You make the Pirates an offer that changes their mind. I'm not against Happ. I'd get both, but Reynolds is the lefty bat you can stick behind Abreu in the lineup that makes RH pitchers think twice about pitching around him.
  5. The first and only target really needs to be Bryan Reynolds. He by far has a higher wRC+ from the left side compared to any other potentially available outfielder, and by outfielder I mean actual outfielder and not DH playing outfield. If the Sox have to overpay to get him, so be it. Nobody in the minors should be untouchable for Reynolds.
  6. The Sox are currently at 500 and this team seems to be magnetically attracted to being 1 under .500 so 9-10 is the obvious answer.
  7. Well sure but he'd easily be one of the four best DH on the Sox.
  8. I think having TLR as manager is already inviting the maximum amount of trouble so it doesn't really matter.
  9. I guess I didn't realize their record was as good as it is. Thought they might be sellers.
  10. Trade for: Ian Happ from Cubs, Kyle Schwarber from Phillies, Andrew Chafin from Tigers, Jose Iglesias from Rockies Give up any/all of the following: Eloy Jimenez, AJ Pollock+cash, Joe Kelly+cash, Leury Garcia+cash (DFA if nobody will take him), Jake Burger, Gavin Sheets, Garrett Crochet, Jimmy Lambert, Jose Ruiz, Reese McGuire, Romy Gonzalez, Wes Kath, Jose Rodriguez, Luis Mieses, Sean Burke. Is there a way to make that work?
  11. Firing Hahn won't help until after JR is gone.
  12. It's entirely plausible that the Sox would trade for Quintana when left handed hitting is the biggest need.
  13. Which is more likely: a half dozen good players all suddenly got a lot worse, or the environment is causing the problem?
  14. Seriously considering getting mlb.tv and watching Brewers games until TLR is gone.
  15. I'm offering +200 that in Hahn's first press conference after the trade deadline passes without acquiring a lefty bat, Sheets gets mentioned within the first 2 minutes.
