    Only real choices for MVP are Cease and Abreu. I give the nod to Cease because Abreu was just so bad the first six weeks.

    I think they carry 3 catchers for a few weeks to see if Grandal can handle catching regularly, but if he can, then McGuire is gone by the trade deadline.

    He could test free agency, get a 6 year $210 million deal and then be a free agent again at age 30, then get an 8 year $400 million deal. He could also get a rash of injuries and not get any of it. It's a matter of how much risk he's willing to take.

    Cease-Giolito-Cueto-Kopech in the rotation and Hendriks-Graveman-Lopez-Bummer-Kelly in the bullpen is a pitching staff that can win in the postseason if the position players can stay healthy and start hitting and/or they get a big bat in a trade.
