  1. Plot twist: Yermin Mercedes comes in to pitch the 9th and Leury Garcia hits a grand slam swinging 3-0.
  2. Wait, so Pollock came in as a defensive replacement for Sheets and now Haseley pinch hits for him?
  3. On a bullpen day for SF, TLR puts all three LH/switch hitters in a row so SF can easily play matchups. Also, with Hjelle's long delivery, why is Harrison still at 1st?
  4. Given that TLR seemingly has massive input in personnel decisions, I'm guessing he OK's this before Kelly signed.
  5. If luring ND is a priority for the BIG, getting Miami and/or FSU would help. ND being in a conference that plays in both Cali and Florida would be hard to resist.
  6. https://twitter.com/JamesFox917/status/1543606480649207814?s=20&t=yM_M54cO5KoYmLuPCXRdwA
  7. Just don't pitch Graveman on back to back days. Could have given the 9th to Foster or Lopez.
  8. 1. How about, I don't know, acquiring some quality left-handed hitters who can neutralize RH sliders 2. How about, I don't know, teaching your RH hitters to recognize and lay off RH sliders and at the very least up the pitch count a little bit.
  9. Any team who has two of its top four relievers on the IL is going to have to put marginal guys into high leverage spots. Given SF's lefty heavy lineup, Banks was the best option among the marginal guys.
  10. Sounds like you already have your tickets, but from my first game at age 4 until I was about 8 or 9, my parents always bought tickets for weekday afternoon games and in the Club Level so it would be less crowded.
  11. This is third hand information, so take it for what it's worth. My uncle went to ND and has a friend who works on campus at the athletic facilities. What my uncle's friend has heard is that ND wants a guarantee from the BIG that they will alternate playing at USC/UCLA every Thanksgiving weekend, and limits on the number of noon and evening kickoffs. Unsure how the BIG would react to that. Another factor is the ACC's ability to keep Clemson and FSU, and possibly add a couple Big 12 teams.
  12. My guess is that the top programs in the PAC 12, Big 12, ACC merge to form a third superconference.
  13. If Notre Dame can get out of their ACC commitment, this might get them. Biggest reason ND has stayed independent is to play games all over the country. This gives that to them, minus the south.
  14. I'm sorry but I'm gonna need a different source than the one you posted before I believe one fucking ounce of that.
