He couldn't even jog to first in his last at bat yesterday.

This team is too far from being a World Series team for me to want to acquire anybody that isn't under team control through at least next season.
-
What I subscribe to is "if they make the postseason but don't win the world series, they'll be less motivated to improve to a world series winning team in this window"

This should be a fun "guess the lineup" day. I'll go with: TA 6, Vaughn 3, Robert 8, Burger DH, Pollock 7, McGuire 2, Harrison 5, Leury 9, Sosa 4 If Jose somehow convinces Tony he can play, put him at DH and Burger at 3B.

They act in the best interest of their country rather than in the best interest of their donors.

Term limits Make primary day a holiday Open primaries ranked choice voting

This will be my first time voting, and I've come to hate this system already. An overwhelming majority of legislative seats, at both the national and state level, are "safe" seats for one of the two parties. The real contests for those seats end up being the primaries, where a tiny percentage of eligible voters actually vote, and those that vote are usually among the most extreme. On top of that, in most states primaries can be won with a plurality. In 2020, the incumbent who had been in office since before my parents were old enough to vote, retired. 14 Democrats ran in the primary to replace him. The guy who won got 33% of the vote and became the nominee. He's a young guy and can sit in that seat for 40 years if he wants to, and given the high level of improbability that he can ever win a governor or Senate race in Indiana as a Democrat, he might do that. Does it make any sense that a guy who gets 1/3 of the votes in a primary can go on to hold a Congressional seat essentially uncontested for 4 decades?

Two days removed from the injured list, a game starting 13 hours after the last one ended, it's a smart thing to give him the day off. -
AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX BIG ENERGY WINNER!!!

1) this team needs LH hitting so badly they need to get the best LH bat they can get regardless of position. 2) the likelihood that everyone would be healthy to the point it causes a squeeze at any position is very low

Yeah I'm expecting Mendick as SS, Vaughn at 1B, Abreu DH. Maybe Leury in RF. -
Ross Stripling (R) 3-2, 3.28 vs Lucas Giolito (R) 4-3, 4.78 Game 2 of the Night-Day doubleheader

If they ever get everybody healthy, they have Hendriks-Graveman-Bummer-Kelly-Foster-Lopez-Velasquez-Ruiz. That's a good enough bullpen. Just too many guys out right now. The starters do need to start being able to go 6 consistently though.

Ruiz, VV, or even a second inning from Lambert all would have been better options than Martin. -

OPS last 15 days: Zavala .857 Harrison .827 Mendick .705 We know that none of them are actually that good and will eventually regress, but they're hot right now so maybe they stay hot for a few more days. -
