  1. I am pleased although a little surprised to see that a) was the right answer, I didn't see a 7 run bottom of the ninth coming but a win is a win!
  2. a) The White Sox win a game? b) Moncada returns from injury? c) A player/manager says they are hurting and trying hard despite the losses? d) Hahn grows a pair and resigns
  3. Giolito: “I hate losing…” Then imagine how bad it is for us fans who have pay to watch you lose!
  4. I know he has to trot out these sort of quotes but who is he kidding, this team don't look like winning two games in a row all season.
  5. If this is them 'trying to win' when they finally give up this season then things are going to get even worse!
  6. No sympathy at all for Hahn, but he has the haunted look of a man who knows his time is up and that nothing he can do will change that, the only trouble is he won't resign and JR doesn't look like he will fire him anytime soon.
  7. I think the players have had an 'off day' for a couple of days now.
  8. As I said on another thread, if this is a 'sideways start' I would hate to see what they consider a downward spiral!
  9. Just read this on the official website and it is pretty much like what you said "Chicago hasn’t won a series yet this year, or even won back-to-back games; the club is 2-12 over its last 14 contests. It’s an undeniably sideways start for a team hoping to contend, but it’s not game over." If this is a 'sideways start' I would hate to see what they consider a downwards start!
  10. You could get a job as his speech writer, you have got all his usual excuses in there!!
  11. As the old saying goes they way they played the Sox were lucky to get nil.
  12. A win streak to reach the high grounds of .500 like last season?
  13. If not in this run at some point this season that is a distinct possibility.
  14. Unfortunately that is Hahn's mantra 'sell low, buy high'.
  15. The bigger blame goes to whoever assembled this squad, and we all know who that is. Pedro has made an abysmal start but with the squad he has been given and the fixtures he has had so far, he was on to a loser anyway.
  16. Once the ship has already hit the iceberg then replacing the captain has little point! But any decent captain would go down with his ship.
  17. Also there is no real pressure on them to perform as the squad is so weak there is rarely ever anyone challenging them for their position.
  18. He's not the only one of the Sox hitters who will do that!
  19. I would dispute this bit, even the fancy/shiny pieces are broken or clapped out parts!
  20. I said this in another thread, this is the really worrying thing, they are actually trying at the moment and are this bad. At least during the tank seasons under Ricky R. you got the sense they were trying to educate them to do the basics right and he would only accept maximum effort, at the moment they can't even do the basics and look disinterested at best, losing doesn't look like it bothers them that much.
  21. The idea of having someone to mentor Pedro is not terrible, but the idea of getting TLR back is.
  22. The worrying thing is they have the 4th worst record while supposedly still trying to win!
