  1. Remember it will be ok when we start the easier schedule after the ASB, or when the weather warms up, or when we get all the injuries back.
  2. Just reading the MLB.com article about what each team needs ahead of the trade deadline and apart from saying a LHP for the bullpen is the biggest need Scott Merkin concluded by saying "The truth is the White Sox have a fairly complete roster when healthy and don’t have a lot of open spots." Am I missing something but I think the White Sox roster is far from complete and has 'open spots' all over the place that have square pegs rammed into round holes.
  3. Eloy could probably injure himself just watching this clip on his phone.
  4. Then again this is the organisation that traded away Tatis Jr for James Shields!
  5. 'You don't have to be drunk to watch this but it helps' That was picked by TLR as a slogan.
  6. Garcia managed to get himself out twice in one innings, a feet I have never seen before, and yet he didn't seem to get a bollocking from our senile manager.
  7. Don't worry it will be alright when the weather warms up....
  8. You just blew the trade with that last bit!
  9. You seem to have left out Garcia just when he is coming into form! Surely some mistake! ?
  10. Mind you he did hit a 2 run homer so we will cut him some slack for once.
  11. Would that good reason be that TLR thinks he is smarter than everyone else, or that he just wanted to see how the weaker bullpen arms would cope having already used the others in the game one loss for some reason.
  12. Mind you the whole team only has 38 home runs at home this season which is only 2 more than Aaron Judge has hit home and away this season, so Sheets and Burger are not exactly tearing it up.
  13. At least they still managed to hit 4 home runs, that would take the White Sox a week to do.
  14. Thank you for an such a detailed analysis and I understand Abreu being your MVP, just think he was another one who some on here were all to keen to get rid of earlier on this season!
  15. Simple really, who is your best hitter and best pitcher so far for the White Sox, and who is the MVP overall? Hitter: Andrew Vaughn the way he is performing in the last 10 days and pretty much all season is very impressive and remember he is still only 24, and to think some people were in favour of trading him in the close season. An honourable mention has to go to Jose Abreu who after a typically slow start is once again producing, if it is his last season as a WS player then it looks like a good one. Pitcher: Dylan Cease, how he is not at the all star game I don't know but he has become the star pitcher in this line up. Again an honourable mention for Cueto for his steady performances when not many expected much from him MVP for me is Cease simply for the way he is leading the rotation now and producing pretty much every game.
  16. Can't agree with those giving McGuire a B or C grading, he was brought in as back up to Grandal but is now back up to Zavala who was back up to the back up . McGuire is ok but just that ok and you wouldn't want him behind the plate regularly.
  17. I meant the team atmosphere in general was better last year, but I stand corrected about him blaming defensive shifts.
  18. Might be true but the shitty attitude and bad results continued long after Keuchel left and he was on the team last year when they all seemed lovey dovey when they were winning.
  19. But he did come back looking noticeably chubbier facially, he certainly hadn't spent his rehab time on a strict diet and working out hard. And carrying that extra could have a factor in injury recurrence.
  20. And that isn't partly down to bad management and coaching? One or two players underachieving could be down to the players but 6 or 7 players underachieving at the same time suggests it is more down to management and coaching, especially when the manager keeps trotting out the same underachieving players, sometimes even as leadoff hitter.
  21. Once a hamstring goes it will always be a weakness but with proper management and conditioning that risk of re-injury can be minimised. But Eloy clearly didn't have a good rehab as he kept having to rest his leg, and looked more out of condition than usual when he came back. You get the feeling that he was brought back too soon and then played in LF rather than DH and the occasional LF to give him time to strengthen his leg back up.
  22. And if I picked the right numbers I would win the lottery every week.
  23. Well that was predictably bad. Take the first ball strike then swing blindly at everything else.
