Well they did it. 120 losses. Now they have to stay in the 30s in wins. The sad thing is, today's lineup is pretty much next year's lineup. I can't see why they should be any better with that the case. Subtrack Crochet and you get a worse season some how.
I'm assuming Sosa makes very little money. So there's one spot locked up for next season. Probably Vargas as well. So there's 2 slots they don't have to find a DeBong or Nicky L type.
You'd think Stoney would quit after the final game. Some other team would pick him up in a minute. His partner is amateurish sorry to say. He can stay obviously but Stoney should move on and let him have Gordo.
119 losses. How? Why? Nobody could have ever predicted a team could ever be this bad. Even expansion teams won more games in a season. Jerry is a colossal failure. This almost nullifies the 2005 title. I mean there's still a chance we don't even win 40. Think about that. Jerry ... get some of your money and walk through the crowd at our final home game and give out some 100 dollar bills. My gawd.
I think it'll be worse. They have no good everyday players except maybe Robert and the catcher might be acceptable. Sox will be out of the race in April again. How they get buried by the likes of KC, Minnie, Detroit and Cleveland is puzzling.
Lot of fans on here believe in the myth. Unfortunately the double tank jobs mean no title contention for a good, long while. How long? WE HAVE NO GOOD PLAYERS except Crochet and maybe Robert (though some say our young pitching may be stellar). It's gonna take a long while.
How could he have one homers in 44 games? He ain't lifting and pulling it right. BTW I didn't like his last at bat. He had weird body language and balance. Sox have been free game of the day a lot lately.
I still would keep Crochet but he's going to bring a haul. I bet u could get two top prospects for him and two others. Or in the Sox case two top prospects and cash. I'd still keep him cause I'm against trading stars amid a tank job.
