Alomar is such a stiff. I hope Olivo does well enough he can play 130 games. Are you folks high onOlivo? Is he a star in the making? Sandy can only hit singles and is so slow. I pray he plays 20 games at most.

I liked the article. He's right. We are incapable of getting it right. We aren't going to win the division with our starters, folks. It's that simple. It's Mark B., then mediocrity. And it scares me to think Ritchie may be back.

I agree with chick. I'd have hung up immediately. No way I trade Maggs for anybody. I can't believe how people sometimes take for granted the stars we've got. Trading Maggs for anybody in baseball is insane!

I Would not deal all those guys for Vladdy. The key is to grab big salary guys off teams like the Expos for fricking prospects who suck. It happens all the time like the Royals' miserable trades for dye, damon, et. all. We always give up too much. Aren't you all sick of giving up too much in trades??

Trading Crede for anybody would be asinine. Not playing guys we developed would be asinine. Keep our homegrown players for gosh sakes!

I agree they are all overpaid, but I'm glad they gave Konerko big bucks. Let's face it, we're never going to win anything of great significance since we don't pay big bucks. And I agree Mark B. is gone as soon as he can sign with St. Looie. He's out of here. We don't pay money. Period.

Trading Wright would be a huge mistake. The guy had a good season. That trade you suggested in the first thread would be a disaster down the line for the Sox. Again, we have to be like normal teams when making a trade. To send some fricking stiff prospects for the expensive player we want. Other teams rob us and if we do what you want we will be robbed again. Lee and Wright alone are way too much, not to mention those other guys. What we have in many cases isn't half bad.

I like Valentin cause with him at ss we won the division by a zillion games. After he got moved all over the place we sucked and have sucked ever since. I know ... he's not the only reason we won the division that year, but I sort of liked Valentin ever since that season. For some reason I still like him. Good points in the other post about Mark B and Maggs being our heart and soul. Seems to me we've got 5-7 great players and we need to fill in better around them. With our payroll restrictions it may be impossible to do.

Great point on second half stats, Roman. I can't argue with your stats. Good job. I am glad Paul got signed for 3 years. And if we keep Frank, that's fine also. But I took exception to your heart and soul comment cause I think he's done some stupid things to be called our heart and soul.

Glad you say Maggs is just a bad rumor. If Maggs leaves I hope they just move the team.
