I watch highlights but haven't watched a live second either. There have to be tons of former Sox fanatics like me who do this. Sox popularity in Chicago must be very very low.
-
I didn't realize we were counting Robert in the Eloy "always hurt" category. I thought he had a little better chance of staying healthy. Maybe my bad. ... Still you can't tell me the Sox will EVER "speed up that process." Not as long as they have this stupid new philosophy of tank jobs even though the draft order process has changed.
-
27-25 record and 3.5 out of first. It just shows you (tank lovers) that it doesn't take much to be a contender for playoffs. All the Sox have to do is flirt with .500 and get hot one month. But instead they mess around with this tanking crap for 10 years and are the dregs of the entire league. I wish the Sox would get some common sense. We need a do-over starting with the Sale trade year. Sox have the worst team in baseball by far and no plan. Nice.

Geez. I'm still waiting for somebody on the board to instruct greg on the Sox plan with all this?? You do realize the team will have an even worse record next year after the complete destruction of the roster right?
-
True, why do people stick by Kopech? He is terrible. By the end of the season we may only have 1-2 players on any other team's radar. I still think Pham could help a team that needs an outfielder with a decent bat like the Royals. Why would anybody want Crochet if he has some pitching inning limit?

20 out with no plan. Sox are probably going to do what everybody suggests on here: get rid of all players not named Robert. That will require management to acquire a new collection of stiffs to start the 2015 season. Any pitcher worth a flip will be traded meaning we'll need a whole new set of starters and relievers. The bullpen will be even worse next year. The hitting will be the same. Sox will win about 40 to 50 games again and we'll all be happy cause we're tanking/rebuilding baby. Orioles deserve credit for dusting off the White Sox three days in a row. No excuses for them to not sweep.

If we lose all four games of a four-game series again, somebody should be fired. Oops, my bad. Jerry will probably take it out on an usher or somebody. Don't mean for them to get fired. I'd start with Pedro on Sunday and let Oz or Tony take over for a month or two.

As greg said earlier in predicting 40ish wins there's always some part of our team that will implode on a given day. Today it's relief pitching and hitting. The starting pitching was good. Five hits offensively won't cut it. So yes we lose 7 or 8 out of every 10. Man Kopech should change the picture on his drivers license to a meatball. Dig in when you face Kopech. Boom. Home run. Nice meatball by Leisure too. Leisure makes me wish I had to work today.

It's not his fault true. He can get over any criticism by counting all the money he's making for basically contributing nothing. They should at least start training him to be a scout or something. Put him to work as he's never gonna contribute on the field more than 10 games at a time then eight weeks off, then 10 days at a time then 12 weeks off.

I was gonna give your post a like til your final sentence. Disagree there.

Hmm Lugo was available last offseason. Sox asleep at the wheel. We needed cheap pitching and coulda got him. 8-1.

Another crazy ending for Sox second nite in a row. Pham with the deep drive. Was anybody on base? I saw the highlight but not if anybody was on base on the great catch in cf. Guys, Pham is the real deal this season. He can help a contender, folks. I don't wanna lose him but if the Cubs or Royals or somebody needs some pop they'd be smart to inquire about Pham, the most tasty treat on the South Side since Spam on white bread. Is Flexen a bum? I'm starting to not like him much. Lee is looking like an MLB player still. And Julks nice game. Lip Man deserves credit for telling us the Sox would lose most every game this stretch. -
Guys ... give it up for Brother Rice's finest Mike Massey. I told u all we needed him, not fricking Lopez for 2B this season. Massey is over .290, six homers I believe, good defense. Tonight hit a 3-run bomb for KCR. Mike Massey looks like he might be one of BR's most successful sports grads ever if he keeps this up. He looks hitterish finally which is prolly a testament to KC's hitting coach. He's improved steadily. p.s. You folks gotta admit Br Rice is one, fine bastion of learning. Crusaders is a good nickname too IMO.

I wonder if Eloy has any supporters left. Do any of you actually want to keep him? Can't believe he's already 27 and this unreliable. Probably a nice guy. Certainly set for life with the huge contract. I wonder if Eloy ever considers changing his body. You'd think some hammy experts would have been able to help/advise him.
-
My point is if they all need Tommy John eventually anyway, let em throw 130-150 pitches per game not half that total. The analytics era has wrecked baseball. Of course in theory pitchers are gonna get hit the third time thru the order. Special pitchers, Mark Buehrle I love you, can work their way thru 9 innings.
-
Why would he even return after 6 weeks? Shut him down for the season. The team is hopelessly out of it. Put him on ice until he redefines his body. This guy has to be one of the most injured players in baseball history. Cubs were smart to get rid of him.
-
Is he one of the most overpaid players in baseball history? One of the most disappointing?
-
Eloy must love the offseason when he's not hurt. Is his only hope for the future in the game to lose 60 pounds and just reinvent his body? I mean he's done, finished. He can't stay healthy for more than 10 games or so at a time. He's so tall he needs to turn into a lean machine, a Claudell Washington body type. I tell u he should never play another game in a Sox uniform. Just get rid of him.
-
Just watched the last play and listened to Stoney. Ridiculous call by the umps. Somebody should be disciplined on that ump crew. I noticed the home plate ump called it right away just fraction of a second before the second base ump. There wasn't a shove, a push, nothing from Vaughn. Very weird. Other than that, our first two pitchers stunk so we lost.

It amazes me how Little League, high school, American Legion and college pitchers basically have no pitch count (they pitch these guys til the win is assured in the ninth) but in the bigs pitchers can't go more than 100 pitches. It sickens me personally. Only way you can throw a no hitter nowadays is to somehow have a micro low pitch count. Managers can't stand to see a guy go more than 7 for sure. I wonder how many complete games have been thrown this season so far and last season.
-
The Jays hitters will be full of confidence going into that one. I watched the highlights. Boom he gave up some solid hits.
-
What's up with the Cubs offense? Lot of batting averages dipping to the .250 range. U think their manager is in jeopardy if this continues?
-
Could u folks tell me what was the problem tonight with Pastrami, I mean Nastrani? Why did he get absolutely torched?
