  1. If Hahn is still the GM in 4 years, means one of two things. Hahn's demented boss Jerry is still alive and the Hahn mediocrity is worse than ever. If that is the case, the Sox home game attendance will challenge the all-time Sox lowest attendance records. Additionally many loyal die-hard Sox fans like myself will have probably have dropped the team and taken a leave of absence, until the new ownership takes over. In 4 years if Hahn is still here, I will not be one of those fans knocking their head against the wall...as I won't be following the team. I'll find a new team to follow until the new owner takes over. .
  2. I hope that is some form of sarcasm and humor. Chris Getz official title is Assistant GM/Player Development Director. This is his 7th year for Getz in overseeing the White Sox minor league operations and player development system. The Sox farm system was 29th in 2022 and is currently 26th ranked this season. I'm quite confident it will still be bottom end ranked in 2024. The pitching talent and depth in AA and AAA is a complete and utter trainwreck. Charlotte is 20th of 20 teams in ERA at 6.28 and Birmingham is 7th of 8 teams in ERA 5.26. The hitting at both levels is also really bad. The Birmingham slash line is: .228/.334/.365/.689 which is ranked 8/8/7/8. Plus the Barons are last in runs scored per game at 4.3. Charlotte slash line is: .258/.341/.415/.756 which is 14/18/16/17 in rankings along with 18th in runs scored at 4.87 per game. As the assistant to Rick Hahn and knowing as all of us have agreed on....Hahn has done a horrible job. Based on that fact, we can also assume Getz did not receive any positive GM mentoring or knowledge from his boss to be a future successful GM. Furthermore when you consider Getz was in charge of the development of the White Sox farm system for player development over the last seven years, which was during the rebuild and WS contention years, as well as knowing how terrible our farm system currently is, then why in the world would Getz be a formidable executive hire? The only way we will ever be a consistent playoff winning team, is when the Sox finally go to the outside and find their next GM executive from a one of the successful baseball organizations. Sadly that isn't happening until Jerry passes away and the Sox have new ownership.
  3. I will miss him too and will wish him the best of luck. It's really sad this Hahn rebuild has been such a huge debacle. Gio was suppose to be one of the many key players brought in during the original rebuild, as part of the Adam Eaton trade. What the Sox fans and the Sox clubhouse and dugout culture will miss dearly...is a real upbeat, intense and positive teammate that brought a ton of fire and excitement to this team. I hope Gio kicks butt at his next team in 2024. Then once again we'll have another documented example of a former Sox player going somewhere else and thriving even better.
  4. I think he will be. The first time around back in April was probably too much pressure. Hopefully now he's had time to improve and reflect on what he did wrong, in order to make this second chance, the official start to his successful career. Regardless of whether he struggles or not, he needs to play daily and quit throwing Sheets in RF.
  5. The former #1 prospect in MLB and the future 2B for your Chicago White Sox. The key piece to the 2016 blockbuster rebuild trade of Chris Sale. Last two seasons 2022 thru current 2023 Games played 142 of 249. 57% Slash line: .221/.279/.364/.643 Moncada's 2024 salary will be increased to 24.8 million. Just another example of the brilliance of Rick Hahn.
  6. You're absolutely correct Grifol sucks at bullpen management and it's because his bullpen is bad and inconsistent. He either picks the wrong reliever or leaves them in too long, when they are clearly struggling and can't find the plate. Again we can thank our genius Rick Hahn for this, as he put this bullpen together. Under Hahn for years now, his FO has struggled horribly in developing their own pitching prospects in the minors and when they do go out for free agents or trades for a reliever, Hahn always screwed it up. Per FanGraphs, the Sox are #1 with the most blown saves at 18. The Sox are tied for 25th for fewest holds with 36. Don't forget Hahn spent the most money in baseball for this underachieving and inconsistent bullpen. Hence this time around, the old adage of "you get what you pay for" clearly didn't work out for Hahn. I
  7. Not only is Robert 3rd in fWar in MLB, he is 3rd in slugging % and tied for 3rd in home runs. As dumb as Hahn, Kenny and Jerry are, they are not stupid enough to trade away the only bonafide superstar on this Sox team. A superstar in the making that Sox fans actually will pay money to go watch. I don't care how many great prospects the Sox could get back from a Robert trade, it wouldn't be worth it, As the Sox fans well know this fact, in baseball there are no guarantees on whether a highly ranked prospect will even make it. As we know Hahn usually screws these trades up.
  8. I'm still trying to find the Rick Hahn interview, but I heard it a few days ago. I will paraphrase what I heard. He gave the same typical BS vague rhetoric, that he still believes the team is talented enough to win the division. He further said, which is irritating and delusional, that if the team does get into the playoffs, he thought they could do some "Damage."
  9. Great job Luis Robert. You deserved this all-star nod. You would have been on this 2023 all-star team, even if MLB didn't have the rule where one player has to be represented from each team. You got there without the help of any good players around you in the lineup, like the other big home run guys who made the team and have the luxury of. I just hope we don't waste away your prime years, because of this dysfunctional organization, owner and GM who might not be capable of putting together a winning roster around you, during your prime productive years.
  10. Wow, shocking a former Sox player leaves and lands on a wining club, where he does better and gets back on track. Oh that's right, he ended up on the Rays. Amazing when a struggling pitcher who obviously had good stuff, works with a great winning organization that have knowledgeable coaches that can tweak his mechanics. It makes sense now why the Sox have the worst pitching staff numbers in both AA and AAA.
  11. It's a bad thing that loser Hahn hasn't put any talent around Robert in the lineup, so we can waste away Robert's prime years of his career.
  12. Final score: Blue Jays 4 - Robert 3. Kelly is a joke. There was short period of time when he was dominant awhile back and we thought maybe we could get a decent prospect for him at the trade deadline. That for sure isn't going to happen. The rest of the lineup is a joke at the plate, as they have been all season. They are the most undisciplined and dumbest hitters in baseball. 10 grounders, 9 K's and one walk. I believe the "Fat Lady" has begun singing.
  13. It's was unfortunate for the long rain delay, because I'm assuming they were going to let Noah go a little longer for the first time. So far in four outings regardless if it's only low A ball, the numbers are eye opening: IP 9, ER 0, K 13, BB 1, Hits 1, WHIP 0.22 I know he has a long way to go and we might not see him up for a few years, but he is only 19 years old so its all good. The only bad thing is the fact we a have horrible history in developing good pitchers in the minors. I pray the Sox don't screw him up.
  14. First of all, you're right it's funny, because it's a absurd joke that Jake's wife had to watch video and notice something wrong in her husband's stance. I'm glad and thankful Jake brought this up to the media, so more fans can clearly realize what a farce this coaching staff is. Secondly, it is a huge deal that the hitting coach wasn't spending endless hours watching all of Jake's best at bats, versus the struggling at bats. The hitting coach should have been coming up with some suggestions to work with Jake in the batting cage. However you're one point is correct; it makes the hitting coach look like a complete imbecile. Thirdly, why the hell wasn't Grifol demanding that the hitting coach work harder on correcting Jake. I've said it before many times in here...Grifol was a disaster hire along with this coaches that he selected. Of course the only thing more appalling and disgusting than the Grifol hire, is the POS JR hasn't fired the loser Rick Hahn yet.
  15. I do like that idea. The Yankees did that to the Cubs when they traded Aroldis Chapman to the Cubs in 2016 for three good prospects. After the season the Yankees resigned Chapman. The reason I don't think that will ever happen is, Giolito won't want to come back to the Sox. He is going to want to sign with a team that puts up plenty of runs, plays great defense and most importantly, is a winning team that often makes the playoffs.
  16. At his press conference Grifol promised the Sox team would bring passion and hustle every game. As Pedro said, the Sox name on the uniform means something. I guess Andrus missed that speech or didn't give a crap.
  17. You're right TA wants unconditional love. However unconditional love only is afforded our kids, spouses and dogs who give us back unconditional love. I'm sorry though, it's not for players who are having their worst season ever and doing it with a delusional and negative attitude
  18. To illustrate you point about Orioles, Rays and Reds, consider what those three organizations have in common: 1. Young and modern day thinking GM's - Orioles - Mike Elias 40 yrs old, Reds - Nick Krall - 45 yrs old, Rays - Peter Bendix - 38 yrs old. All three have been mentored by prior and current successful executives. 2. Highly ranked and productive Farm Systems - Orioles - #1, Reds #5, Rays #8 note. The Rays at #8 is one of the lowest rankings for the them in the last 15 years. 3. Have bottom end payrolls - Orioles - 29th - 67.8 million, Reds - 25th - 93.2 million, Rays - 28th - 76.5 million. - This means when you don't have money to sign the top free agents, or for big star player trades, your organization from top to bottom has to be extremely proficient in scouting, drafting and developing young prospects...in order to make them into hungry, motivated and productive major league players. You are absolutely right though, the game is changing and just spending ridiculous money like the Mets, Padres and Phillies have, who are #1, #3 and #4 in highest payrolls, is not proving to be such a successful formula for wining.
  19. The Sox keep reinventing new ways to further embarrass themselves. 1. Going into the game, the A's were 30th in runs scored at 3.49 per game. The Sox allow the A's 7 runs. 2. Going into the game, the A's were 30th in ERA at 6.08. The Sox score 4 runs. 3. The A's starter Medina going into game was 1-7 with a 6.84 ERA. The Sox bats go dormant and Medina goes 5 IP and 1 ER. When Grifol was announced as the new Sox manager, at the press conference one of the key things he stressed was, the Sox players would be playing with intensity and hustle...because as he put it, the Sox name on their jersey means something, so they will play with pride. A good manager who actually was passionate about his promises and beliefs, would have Andrus out of the lineup today. Grifol was a horrible hire and once again, another reason Hahn has to be fired for that and all his other numerous organizational failures. From JR to RH, this entire organization is the most underachieving, embarrassing and dysfunctional team in baseball. 2023 White Sox Mantra continues in strong fashion: STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES!
  20. You're right and this seems to be the Sox MO going back for years. The Sox always seem to allow their bats to go dormant making garbage pitchers look like Cy Young.
