  1. Totally agree, however where were the other Sox coaches trying to inform Cairo to maybe pull Cueto sooner? Did the other Sox coaches lose their voice and/or balls or brains?
  2. If the fans last time were able to chant "Fire Tony", then this time if he is back, they need to chant "We Don't Want You Back" besides "Fire Tony!"
  3. We need another great outing from Cueto today and the bats need to continue to explode early and often. I don't care if we are crushing a team 40 games under 500, it builds momentum and confidence, which this team so desperately needed and of course will bode well down the stretch for the boys.
  4. Lance Lynn is stepping up in a huge way with his 6th straight great outing. He is 4-2 and with any run support, he could have been 6-0. Eloy is crushing the ball. He is on a 5 game hitting streak going 11-21, 3 HR's and 9 RBI's. Stay healthy Eloy...we need you big guy. This is the most fun I've had all season. Don't Stop Now Boys!
  5. Which is paying huge dividends since he is staying healthy and now crushing the ball in his 5 game hitting streak going 11-21 with 3 Home runs and 9 RBI's.
  6. This exactly what needs to happen! Sadly the Sox and Jerry are the most dysfunctional organization in baseball. If Jerry were smart he could use his buddy angle and tell Tony personally that he is doing this for his health. Rick Hahn and Kenny Williams need to grow some balls and sit down with Jerry and convince him no matter how brutal the conversation gets.
  7. Too bad Jerry Reinsdorf and Rick Hahn can't see this improvement minus TLR and keep him away from the dugout! Last 11 games without Tony in the dugout, the boys are 8-3. The prior 11 games with Tony in the dugout, the boys were 2-9!
  8. Lynn has been pitching great and we need one more clutch outing this afternoon, like the last 2 outings of 14 innings, 7 hits, 2 ER's 1 BB, 19 K's in only 180 pitches! Boys, lets' get back to home run ball!
  9. I was wondering the same thing. I guess Cairo either never heard the expression "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", or loser TLR called Cairo and said "can you please play Harrison over Romy tonight for me".
  10. I am so sick and tired of this TLR wants back. Forget all the other logical reasons Jerry shouldn't bring him back and think of only Tony's actual long term health. If indeed TLR has some heart issues from the stress of this job and his age and if Jerry truly was his friend, then why in the hell would this idiot owner allow TLR to come back? Obviously we don't know the issues since the Sox FO won't share any information like most non-dysfunctional clubs do, but I would think the last thing a buddy would want to do, is bring his buddy back and cause more stress that could perhaps send him back to the hospital. A real friend would never do that, unless he just wants to be the ignorant and stubborn demented owner that he is.
  11. Bruce Levine is clueless and a loser! He has zero creditability with me and probably most people.
  12. Actually on your first point, at this late stage of the season being that we are hot and playing the worst team in the AL and 2nd worst in MLB, I think we can expect to beat the shitty teams like the A's. Actually on your point you didn't think the lead was insurmountable, the way the Sox were playing, being no hit for 6 innings and having only 3 hits and zero runs for 8 innings, didn't lead anyone other than apparently you to believe they were going to pull it out. Of course everyone was hoping for the miracle 9th inning which we thankfully got, but it didn't look good. As far as how well we do in the last four games against Cleveland I am one of them that does believe those 4 games are critical. Yes the Sox have to win the division based on taking care of their own business. However the Sox still remain 3 games back in the loss column. As a result, taking 3 of 4 from Cleveland or sweeping them is extremely important if we are going to win this division. Maybe its unrealistic but that is what is needed. Most people outside Chicago feel we have more talent than Cleveland or Minnesota. The only thing that has ever hurt us were injuries, dumb play and a bad manager. Without hopefully the loser manager around anymore and they stay healthy with TA back, why can't we beat Cleveland head on 3 of 4? The fact is, if we can't beat Cleveland 3 of 4, then how in the hell will we be able to compete in the playoffs against the really great teams like the Dodgers, Astros, Braves, Mets and Yankees who are superior teams to the Guardians? If we plan to win this division and not do another one and done like the last two years and actually go far in the playoffs, then we better be able to take 3 of 4 from the Guardians. The Sox need to stay hot and finish strong like the Braves did last year to build momentum into the playoffs. The bottom line is, the Sox need to play like the team we all thought they were suppose to be and not the one that has underperformed the first 139 games.
  13. Actually you did mention hitting. Gio gave a run in the 1st and people were already melting down. Gio sucks, the offense sucks, typical after scoring runs the day before can't score any the next game. Did I miss anything ? I think most people here from your post, read your comments like we were all panicking for no good reason. The fact is, there isn't one person here who wasn't pissed and worried for 8 innings and not screaming at this team in front of their TV. Yes it was a dramatic finish and awesome win, but don't imply we had nothing to worry about for 8 innings and you saw this victory coming.
  14. Yes you did: 1. Gio did suck to get us down right after one inning 1-0 and have us down 3-0 thru 5 innings. Keep in mind to a last place team 38 games under .500 at the time and worst record in the AL and 2nd worst in MLB. 2. The Sox were no hit for 6 innings. 3. The Sox had 3 hits and zero runs score through 8 innings. 4. The Sox hit 15 groundballs, in which 2 resulted in getting on with an error and one infield single. The remaining 12 groundballs were outs and many of them weak groundball outs. I'm not sure what your point is. Like we were pissed and irritated for the first 8 innings for no good reason?
  15. Awesome comeback win and maybe the most important one this year. As Ozzie Guillen mentioned in the post game comments, maybe this was the game that will ignite these guys to finish this season strong and win this division. Not to be negative, but as it's been mentioned, the Sox were being no hit for 6 innings and had only 3 hits and zero runs through 8 innings,. This was a bullpen game for the last place A's which were 38 games under .500 at the time. Hopefully they will learn from this outing and not wait so long to explode. They need to jump on pitchers early like the A's did to Giolito. Btw, that was 3 straight games for Eloy hitting a home run! Good things happen when they hit home runs!
  16. A Twins sweep! If Twins sweep and we take 3 more from the A's, the new standings going into next week will be: Twins 72-67 .518 Sox 73-68 .517 Guardians 70-68 .507
  17. You're right my bad. and I'm usually very good with math and checking my facts or stats.
  18. Now Jerry would have a lot of explaining to do, which of course he wouldn't do because he is too arrogant, ignorant and afraid to face the media and fans. If that actually happened than shame on any fans that would spend their money going to the park next year! Then the banners next year to be held or yelled out should be: "Hey Tony didn't you tell the fans and media that you would resign if you ever felt the team quit on you?"
  19. You're so right, but welcome to our loser front office!
  20. I also noticed only one White Sox player Andrus has faced Sears and he is 0-2. I worry when our boys face a pitcher they have never seen before, because they often struggle early and make them look like Cy Young. Our guys need to score runs early and often and give an early lead for Dylan. No more time for chocking and mediocre weak play. The A's are 47 games under 500. The Sox need to take advantage of these next 6 games against two garbage teams.
  21. Hence why the Sox farm system is ranked 26th. Wtg Hahn, great job drafting and developing those minor league prospects.
  22. Moncada had zero hits and should not be batting #2 in the lineup. He hasn't earned that right with his .199 BA and .270 OBP. Come on Cairo don't be stupid like Tony with the lineup!
  23. Yep and UNREAL for the Dodgers is defined as: 1. Stealing the best GM in baseball Andrew Friedman from Tampa Bay and making him fully in charge as the president of baseball ops. 2. Although the Dodgers have the highest payroll, they have spent it wisely. Even though they spend more than all other teams, Friedman has also drafted and developed prospects well and has the #2 ranked farm system currently. 3. Having said all that...the Dodgers are producing the following results: MLB stats (NL & AL) W-L - #1 - 92-42 - 50 games over 500 Hitting Runs scored - #1 Extra base hits - #1 Home Runs - #4 TB - #1 BA - #1 OBP - #1 SLG - #1 OPS - #1 Run Diff - #1 Pitching ERA - #1 WHIP - #1 OBA - #1 I wish Jerry understood this and that a change needs to be made. Jerry please wake the f#*k up and clean house. Quit being so stubborn and stupid! Just go outside and steal someone doing great things for another winning baseball organization and spend the money and make it worthwhile to bring him here. Finally and most importantly, get out of his way and let him run the show entirely without any of your involvement, other than giving him a solid and competitive payroll budget. If you don't want to do all this, then sell the damn team and let another owner come in who actually might care about winning and running a successful organization like the Dodgers.
  24. D- for the 2022 team he built. D- for all his offseason acquisitions. Although this is not part of the post, a big F for Hahn's debacle of the rebuild! We are now in year 6 of the rebuild and all we have to show for it is two playoff appearances being one and done and struggling this year to win the worst division in baseball. Another big F because he has done nothing to continue drafting and developing a strong farm system which is now ranked 26th. At this point we were promised and assumed that we would be a World Series championship contender and actually win one. The sad reality is this team is nothing close to a championship contender like the Dodgers, Yankees, Astros, Mets and Braves are.
