Ok it seems is now a better return than I expected although I am cautiously optimistic how Montgomery recovers from broken ankle but he could have been top 5 if he wouldn't have broken his ankle at the end of the season.

I will be pissed if Teel is the only name prospect. White Sox already have two catchers although Teel is probably better but still

What a trash organization I can't root for them anymore

Crochet Trade Updates (Nightengale)
Romeo_Santiago81 replied to Chicago White Sox's topic in Trade Winds 2024
At this point I am already resigned to Gaetz not getting anything to a top 75 ranked prospect. I'm ok holding on to Crochet if teams do not want to give up top prospects and I think Robert just killed his value since he has become a strikeout machine in recent slump might as well keep him to see if he figures it out for the remaining of the season -

Grifol sucks keeping him after 5 runs come on wake yo a$$ up and take him out to avoid further embarrassment -
Randy Arozarena traded to SEA

I'm ok with Getz waiting till the last day to make deals that is when teams get the most desperate and if someone doesn't want to fork up what it would cost to get Crochet or Robert so let it be it. We don't want Sox to give up these talented players for middle of the pack prospects -
Crochet wants an extension to pitch in the playoffs

I wouldn't mind White Sox returns includes a PTBNL, maybe they can snag a Vance Honeycutt from Orioles or one of the other 2024 mlb draftee prospects just a thought on the returns obviously the packages need a headliner... -
My rational for trading for Bichette was he already has a history of producing with exception of this year which can be blame on injuries so trade unproven prospect like Montgomery, let Bichette heal this year and bring him back healthy next season, however, I missed he is a free agent JR is not going to pay to extend him..that was all...
-
Ahh did not realized Bichette is a free agent soon...take it back!
-
Anyone interested in going out of the box and trading some of our prospects for Bo Bichette? He really has been affected by injuries I wouldn't mind trading Montgomery for him we bound to get better prospects from other trades anyways

I think White Sox are best to keep Robert I am sure his trade value is not its highest it can be too bad Crochet will most likely get traded but I really think Getz is going to surprise what he gets for him and Fedde -
Looking at the situation..if none of Condon, Bazzana or JJ Wetherholt do not fall to #5 then I ride with the power left handed bat even if projections have him as a swing and miss potential. Otherwise, why not go with Chase Burns or Konnor Griffin hoping somehow by a miracle our minor league coaching does not run his potential... I be happy with any of those scenarios even Hagen Smith...

Sad to see the fall of an iconic figure two years ago in the Field of dreams game to now on waivers...wish him the best though

With the Orioles, the conversation has to start with Mayo and Basallo, would love Holliday but I am sure Baltimore ain't moving him, but if they do not start with Basallo and Mayo, move on!0
-
I'm not worry about Rodon haunting White Sox love what he showed last year much props to him but still showed he is not durable going into playoffs. I am more worry what the Tigers are building, expediting their rebuilding plan. It is almost like Tigers making moves White Sox should have made, starting with their manager and making power moves with pitching and hitting, come on White Sox make those counter power moves!
-
Let me rephrase a durable Cy Young Caliber lasting through playoffs
-
The thread here should be changed to 2022 there was no off-season plan... As a White Sox fan so far being very disappointed Rob Ray was attainable, I do not see any pitching trade prospects that have Cy Young Caliber... is like White Sox are just hoping they get lucky signing a middle tier free agent instead of going for the power move smh let s hope Hahn and Co. really have something up their sleeve because right now off-season has been a failure

Burger and Lambert
-
Big boys making moves but Sox got Hernandez
-
But maybe convince him to 2nd baseman or outfield money talks
-
This for World Series not just making playoffs
-
I would have traded Cease, Madrigal, Burger, Thompson, Collins, and Adolfo for Turner and Scherzer. You can always extend TT and even Scherzer
-
Dodgers Close to Landing Scherzer & Turner

This is what real contenders do to squash the competition I hope White Sox still go all the way but this is s big groin kick -
Yankees close to acquiring Anthony Rizzo

Dang White Sox need more pitching and offense rookies will hit a wall and you can't be sure Eloy and Robert will come back 100% by playoffs Eloy already got hurt after a few games...they got tough road ahead in playoffs
