  1. All over the news now, including a reported valuation of $1.7B.
  2. I didn't look at these pictures too closely before, but have these people never seen what home plate looks like?
  3. Can we come up with a tax-dodging scheme to make JR buy them and sell the Sox?
  4. This thread keeps getting better. can’t wait for the Orioles fans to come douse it with gasoline
  5. Some questions have no right answers.
  6. Holliday has one thing going for him - his dad was a good hitter for a long time. Not that it guarantees anything, it's more that his dad knows what it takes to succeed as a big league hitter, and he's probably more likely to listen to his dad. Even if Sox coaching inevitably fails him, he has options. In other words, he might be more immune than most to the typical shitty coaching the Sox seem to provide hitters.
  7. Pretty sure live 2025 Sox games will be the pop-up ads that appear before you get to watch your YouTube video.
  8. You don't get sarcasm, do you, @kitekrazy? that was the whole Leury thing.
  9. …but he was consistent and healthy. nobody said anything about the quality of production.
  10. I dunno. Hiring Tony La Russa in 2021 would seem to be a dumber decision.
  11. Pretty sure Jay Cuda is about 30% of the White Sox analytics.
  12. Clearly. But it would be SOOOO White Sox to temporarily gain 30 to 35 wins to negate a high draft pick.
  13. Be careful. He's not gonna take that.
  14. I'm going to love it when the Bananas draw double what the Sox draw.
  15. If all of the stars somehow line up, and the Sox score big on all of their lottery ticket scrap heap additions, it would be SOOOOOO White Sox to finish with the 10th-worst record in the league in 2025 (by the aforementioned combination of “good luck”), then suck again in 2026.
  16. Then sign Leury. He was consistent and healthy.

...but it wasn't yet considered a knock on him. The upside was basically infinite in a lot of people's eyes, similar to how the baseball world saw Witt at a similar stage in his career.
  18. Just have a "manager by committee" structure. Keep Grady as the bench coach, but each player gets a 1-week rotation as the manager-of-the-week. After all, supreme executive power comes from the mandate of the masses.
  19. I think everyone had big expectations, but nobody had an actual plan.

Luis Robert, as of the end of 2020, had missed 4.
