  1. Yeah no shit. TLR is collecting a paycheck from this shit. Be angry all you want, but you're getting paid. We're the ones paying to put up with this shit.
  2. Let's look on the bright side. The Sox are making the national spotlight!!
  3. I was thinking more of the events of 25 years ago this summer
  4. ...but the most painful thing of all is that there is no wrong answer.
  5. Essentially started with my personal bias and backed it up with fWAR (hitting). Grandal has been a disappointment versus expectations, but if you're looking at absolute level of sucktitude, it's Leury for me.
  6. Yaz is more disappointing. Doesn't make Leury more valuable. ...though I didn't look at bWAR (just fWAR)
  7. Disagree. Yes, Tony's got a Leury problem... but that has contributed to Leury's being the least valuable player. Leury's got a -1.0 WAR. That's twice as bad as Yaz (-0.5 WAR) in essentially the same number of PA's.
  8. Leury by a mile. It's not just the fact that he's barely hitting better than 2021 White Sox pitchers (.458 OPS for 2021 pitchers vs. 505 OPS for 2022 Leury). It's the fact that he's somehow forced his way into the everyday lineup and/or clutch hitting situations this year time and time again.
  9. Yeah, basically PRing Robert for Eloy last night just set back Robert another 3 days in terms of ILable time.
  10. "Anyone who thinks we can catch Cleveland is crazy"
  11. Where's he blaming injuries? I see him acknowledging injuries, and then dismissing them with a "so what? That's baseball" attitude.
  12. you really don't see flawed logic in the following? -Utilizing your best pinch hitter when 1B is open (a situation where Tony himself has repeatedly intentionally walked people... with 2 strikes) -Pinch hitting Leury (he of the .504 OPS) in place of Seby (he of the .754 OPS). For reference, White Sox pitchers in 2021 had a combined .458 OPS. ...and this is just one inning of one game.
  13. In the Blackhawks' case it was more a matter of Bill Wirtz dying. Old Man Wirtz died, and the people who had stayed away started to return
  14. This is where the media needs to talk about how being injury prone as a collective group for 2 years in a row is something that's systematic.
  15. Good news is that Robert’s IL clock reset today
  16. I feel like we’ve all said something like this at one point or another this season.
  17. You haven't been paying attention, have you?
  18. He has already inspired many other teams... why not the DBacks?
  19. Please don't encourage them.... Unless that's a request.
  20. Currently scanning through the crowd during the injury warmup for Reylo. I have never seen a group of people so depressed in a non-election context.
  21. Yeah they’ve already scored once tonight. time for the pitching and defense to hold it together for damage control
