has KW built it? yes, but has he put together a bad team playing up to their potential or a good team playing far below their potential?
fact is, a lot of odd crap has happened, a lot of players haven't produced.
Kenny Williams took an average 2000 team and put a team out this season that has the TALENT to win it all.
I HATE it when people say KW dismantled the 2000 team. anyone with a brain would know the 2000 wasn't that good and that KW didn't really dump any of our prospects as many people think.
people are just looking to blame it on someone and can't face reality that s*** happens.
just because a trade doesn't work out, doesn't mean it was a bad decision.
just because you throw 25 good players on the field and they don't produce, it isn't KW's fault.
I can't stand how people would rather blame a few people rather than the whole bunch.
futuresox.com is a work in progress. although it is up and running, we haven't began promoting it and really getting it going.
it should be up and in full force by season's end, as we build the staff.
I agree, Soxfan1, don't jump the gun unless you know what you are talking about.
a double play doesn't mean a soft grounder to the shortstop, it could happen in a variety of ways. the way today was through a great play by Pena.
greg, this team is NOT dysfunctional! nor is anything of the sort related to their problems.
they simply have no consistency on the offensive end and are far too concerned with hitting homers.
one guy on the team of late who I have liked offensively is Everett as he's hit the ball hard every at bat. I'd rather have that then the popups of Carlos Lee and Jose Valentin. all these two guys need is one homer for them to try to hit a homer for the next 30 at bats after.
it isn't who deserves it, but who will be benched because of it?
as bad as this offense is, there aren't many guys you can bench, because they are either proven players OR simply because you can't single out one guy.
that was uncalled for Soxfan1, Rex was just saying the truth.
based on the numbers, Giambi is an acceptable pick. Frank should've gotten based on where it is played, but outside of that, his numbers weren't clear-cut all star numbers.
Moyer is 40-years old, has had a good career, yet is making his first ever all start appearance, he can very well be picked if Loaiza has a bad start.
as far as Halladay? he isn't pitching at all.
two weeks ago: THIS TEAM SUCKS
a week ago: THIS TEAM IS GOOD
Now: THIS TEAM SUCKS
this isn't meant to poke fun at you OldRoman, but fans and posters in general.
Thomas has DH'ed a few times over the past few weeks and has done fine there.
don't just jump on him for one 0-4 game, especially since he was robbed of one rocket up the middle due to Rowand running the play.
Hey guys,
Some guy I know is selling I believe four upper deck reserve tickets to the all star game.
He's looking for $300 a piece.
if anyone is interested, email me at [email protected]
I like Buehrle, but i find it odd that he finally starts pitching good right when he gets a WHOLE bunch of run support.
I'd still like to see Buehrle win those low-scoring, one run games before I call him our ACE.
WSC, I thought all was cleared up with the way you handle yourself on teh boards?
what you are saying is simply disgusting. you better shape up, because I doubt people want to read this crap from you.
