  1. Anyone think Anderson will be in the line-up today? He should, especially considering how big that outfield is in Detroit. With that in mind, I'm sure Ozzie will have him on the bench yet again.
  2. Everything goes as planned with bullpen. Come on Dye, make up for your crappy D!
  3. Holding them scoreless in the 2nd would be a good start.
  4. Sox killing worms. Another 1-2-3 for Westbrook. Come on Danks, no walks!
  5. I'm just glad Hall is still riding the pine.
  6. Today's Lineup Richar, 2B; Ramirez, SS; Fields, 3B; Dye, RF; Liefer, DH; Quentin, LF; Anderson, CF; Eldred, 1B; Armstrong, C. Danks pitching. Also throwing: Wassermann, Jenks, Logan, MacDougal, Dotel. I'm looking forward to finally seeing Quentin & Ramirez take some cuts. And checking out Danks improved cutter.
  7. Interesting. I guess this guy had zero trade value. Thanks for April 07' David!
  8. So who does this take off the 40 Man Roster??? Maybe another deal is looming.
  9. I'll meeting some friends in Lafayette, IN (half way point to where we all live) to watch Super Bowl in a couple of weeks. Does anybody know any good bars to catch the game at? Is there a good street to bar-hop? Any hotels in stumbling distance from said bars? Thanks!
  10. I like Stewart, but given the landscape of the division (and the Sox), I'd rather play the young cheap players and see what we have going into 2009.
  11. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Dec 5, 2007 -> 04:37 PM) Looks like Iguchi may go play 3rd in Milwaukee. I don't think he has the arm for 3rd.
  12. This move wouldn't excite me at all. But at this point, I think KW options are limited. $13.75 Million a year for Aaron Rowand.....wow. I'm glad its not my money.
  13. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 28, 2007 -> 02:30 PM) This team will be incredibly unlucky without a keebler elf in the clubhouse
  14. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 28, 2007 -> 02:24 PM) Why the hell does Gonzalez keep pedaling this need for a middle infielder? Even if Cintron and Uribe gone, I'd much rather seem then go cheap for a bench guy like Bourgeois, Getz and/or Ozuna, than go out and spend a bunch of money they could use on the STARTING positions in the outfield. Maybe he doesn't think Richar will be starting @ 2nd.
  15. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Nov 15, 2007 -> 08:50 AM) In Buster's column today, he said an exec. told him to expect Hunter to sign a 6 year $90 million contract with Texas. Wow. What a terrible contract for Texas.
  16. QUOTE(ChiSox_Sonix @ Nov 13, 2007 -> 07:58 AM) I'm really starting to like Chris Getz...ive never seen him play but im starting to think he could be one of the Twins type guys that always bug the hell out of us, which would be a good thing to have on this team From Steve Stone's Blog 11/6/07: Chris Getz was a 4th round pick in June 2005. He went to the University of Michigan. He is hitting 279 with no homeruns and 4 runs batted in. He is a second baseman with a good eye and a 367 on base percentage. He has plus speed but he is not a great base stealer, he is a good base stealer. In his career, he walks more than he strikes out and that’s rare in this day in age.
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 01:43 PM) So, now that we only have Buehrle, Vazquez, and Jenks pitching well for us this year, why does Don Cooper have a job? Don't worry, Don Cooper will fix Don Cooper.
  18. I am surprised we couldn't get rid of Pods as a base stealing option for a contender, I would rather have a bag of chips than watch him drop balls jump over the fence watching balls hit him in the a$$, etc. Pods can steal bases?
