  3. So Schiffren is a big Bravo guy, huh...
  4. At some point shouldn't a "Nicky" go by "Nick?"
  5. It's a good sign that Eloy hustled down the line with no hammy issues.
  6. Peralta looked filthy. If only every inning could be like the 3rd
  7. Just shut down the computer and turned the game on...what have I missed?
  8. I think economists have concluded that these deals are never a net gain for taxpayers. But politicians across the board have no problem spending other people's money. Trade unions love the idea of thousands of their members having work. The proposed site development could be aesthetically pleasing (versus empty fields).
  9. Damn. That's too bad. I always liked Gio and wished him well. I wonder how Rodon is doing in New York.
  10. Is this like the MLS teams that jacked up ticket prices when Messi came to town?
  11. I listened a few times after Uncle Terry retired but it is just hot garbage.
  12. According to this article, Washington offered land at Clark and Roosevelt for a football/baseball complex in 1985 but Reinsdorf wanted to keep all parking and concessions (even after the city built all the infrastructure for the area). The Sox then tried to go to Addison but that was voted down by Addison voters. So where is the demand from Washington that it had to be built on 35th Street? I think it is more likely that Washington wanted the team to stay in the city. By 1988, when the deal was done, Washington was dead and Sawyer was mayor. https://www.southsidesox.com/2012/11/9/3619970/south-loop-sox
  13. Mayor Washington died 8 months before the deal was made and the General Assembly passed the package to create the ISFA.
