  1. What do we think Hahn gets asked if there is no announcement? Benny the Bull and Southpaw come out dancing on the stage, Hahn announces the deal, Manny comes out of a huge box, JR is wheeled out making money rain and the Loveabulls and Chevy Pride Crew throw out tickets to the crowd? Sounds about right.
  2. What is said deadline and why wouldn’t they?
  3. I think that if he’s not signed by SoxFest, he’s not coming to the Sox. I hope some clear contract offer amounts are provided by reporters so that we know how things actually went. And I would hope Hahn gives more insight on what the plan is next if they miss out on the whales.
  4. Just got to stick at mine for another six months to make sure my next two data analytics classes get paid for, then I’m three classes shy of a masters and am ready to move on!
  5. Finally found the Levine interview from the other day. This wasn’t as contentious as people made it seem: https://670thescore.radio.com/media/audio-channel/mcneil-parkins-bruce-levine-interview-transition-tom-thayer-hour-5-116
  6. Kenny Lofton, 1 year, $1.025 million in 2002.
  7. Seems reasonable. Give it some time, it took me two years off and on the site and several dates to find the right one.
  8. What do you write about what you are looking for?
  9. What have you written about in your profile, do you have recent pictures of you and have you emailed some ladies on the site?
  10. There are lots of families there and more general questions about the upcoming or previous season and less targeted questions like we would ask. It’s included in the cost of your admission and you can walk right up to the mic and participate. Usually Farmer or someone like that is there with Hahn or Williams to moderate. When I used to go with my dad at the Hyatt that is how it went, I’m not sure if anything changed since then.
  11. The casual fan will at least take it easy on him, unlike all of us, who would probably line up to the podium and have a rapid fire Q&A session as we should.
  12. Nice of you to say that, but some days I’m not so sure. Maybe one day. There are a lot of good side conversations being had in this thread, maybe we need “The Bar” thread for these organic discussions in SLaM.
  13. Jack, what website do you use? I met my wife on Match.com. Lots of nice women are on there and actually want to date. Write your profile about you and write some messages (focusing exclusively on her interests and ask a question), get into some conversations and see what happens. Don’t let your autism stop you, I had a roommate with Asperger’s and he got married.
  14. I have never had a meaningful career in my life, but that career is one of the ones I would think any American would proudly do. Thank you for serving.
  15. Check 670 the Score Live on Facebook for the broadcast, it should be in or near the last hour.
  16. Doesn’t exist anymore so we have to inject in threads when we can.
  17. I really don’t get this. With all of the talk of “he should be signed next week” and the amount of teams involved, why would it take even longer when position players report almost a month from now?
  18. The amount of pages in this thread is the amount of money Machado will sign for. Keep driving the price up, Soxtalk.
  19. Minaya will be up periodically throughout the year. He’s nothing more than AAAA material.
  20. Not sure. But I have heard from fans on this board that angrily questioning KW and RH at SoxFest and pressing them for information doesn’t work. I wouldn’t mind giving KW the finger for his failure (prospects for has beens) before Hahn took over. SoxFest Q&A will be interesting if they get neither whale and bring in Moustakas. But then the Sox would be like the Brewers, some young talent with middling veterans.
  21. What were the callers saying about them? There is nothing wrong with those additions.
  22. MM will play third base and Anderson is still at shortstop.
  23. When I was pursuing my business degree, I wrote Brooks Boyer and gave him my number. A month later, he called me and said ticket sales jobs would be available. They weren’t at the time when I applied, but I was able to intern with the St. Louis Rams. The former marketing manager at the Rams was my manager and her brother actually works for the White Sox. So you really need to know someone there or take a chance and see what response you get.
