7/6- White Sox vs Blue Jays, Gm 2, 8:00

I guess he’s not getting spaghetti or sex. Bummer. I’m not sure what else the power drop off could be except for mental health or being hurt. What’s the point of either cheering or hate watching? Seems like they are going to be bad for whatever draft pick they get. -

Yes we know? I could agree with the bolded. Maybe their depth issues would hurt them more than having TA out there. I don’t know. Either way he’s not tradeable right now. -

Thank you, I haven’t heard him before so I did want to look him up to see where he came from. -

Any reason why they are playing him instead of ILing him? -

It could be that. But I also wonder if injuries are not helping him with swinging the bat for power. -

They cannot succeed unless he goes back to form. That power needs to come back and the production needs to be back. My theory is that it is a health issue. -

Okay, who is the kid that is doing the game tonight? That isn’t Adam Amin… -

What’s the point in firing a cheap manager if he doesn’t have a roster that will win? I don’t agree with all of his decisions but he is on the bottom of my list of problems with this team. Who would even want to manage the next iteration of this team? Nobody good. Probably a first time manager like Mark DeRosa. Is it Adam Amin? I wonder if Jason leaves after the year ends and poor Len Kasper is forced to the booth (unless he leaves since he loves radio) or stays in radio because his deal stipulates he doesn’t have to take over TV if there is an opening. -
That’s what I thought. Realistic. How could it be tweaked to make it better if Hahn stays? Keep him and he gets the QO? Or is that not a thing anymore?
-
Predictions: 1. Williams retires, Hahn gets elevated or kicked to the vacant FO role. Getz becomes GM. Reinsdorf doesn’t hire outside of the organization because he will still make money and there’s not much incentive to hire someone outside when he’s just going to sell the team when he’s dead. 2. They trade many pitchers (Lynn, Graveman, Kelly, Middleton) at the deadline but not Giolito. They try to find takers for Grandal and Andrus. 3. They deal Anderson this offseason. They try to deal Moncada too but are stuck with the massive remaining balance on his contract. They deal Hendriks. Eloy and Robert stay. 4. The malaise from post-ASB 2021, 2022 and 2023 continues but it is expected and meanwhile ST prays they they draft, develop, make the right moves and whoever buys the team keeps them in Chicago and hires a new GM outside of the organization.

Are we saying they should remove the 300 level section in the current stadium and do something more with the upper deck? I don’t think they can do that and how much of a difference it would actually make. Those 300 level seats are sweet and if you are sitting at the lower part of the upper deck near home plate or within first to third, it isn’t that bad of a view.

Touki Toussaint gets guys out so far. I like him. Keep him around for now.
-
What was Grandal smoking on the last out?
-
So the teams traded rights to impending free agents and the Hawks have a short window to sign the players?
-
I will gladly take the series win and was so glad that I could listen to the game while working out at the gym. I’ve been impressed with the team on the field when they have played like this and don’t think they miss guys like Hendriks and Moncada when the replacements are playing well right now. Hang a star on the play Bummer made and for getting outs, Middleton for closing it out, the home runs hit today and the hits Benintendi got today.

I feel for the people that were onboard. But I also think that the rich should stop messing with the Titanic deep in the ocean and should leave space exploration to NASA. The company that made the submersible and didn’t make it safe should be liable for what happened. It’s a tragedy what happened, but maybe it leads to more regulation in the industry to keep people a little safer.

I don’t miss seeing him jogging to first, at least Remillard plays like someone who gives a s%*# out there and performs decently. He costs a lot less too. Yoan can stay on the shelf since his trade value is probably shot.
-
Yikes. Did anyone hear about this?
-
Does anyone get excited to watch Sox games anymore? When the bases were loaded in the 8th inning, I knew they weren’t going to score. I just didn’t have faith Grandal was going to do anything and unfortunately I figured Burger was going to swing at something out of the zone. This team has flaws all over the place, they should probably make moves with veterans at the deadline unless they want to die with the sinking Titanic.

I don’t know who the boss is, but why would they direct questions to JR when Hahn is the GM? Or is he asking for roster moves privately and not getting what he wants and he’s directing his frustration to JR? His comment doesn’t make sense. -
I muted the bottom frame of the 11th and turned the TV off when I saw Robert not move and the ball land. The darker loss was to the Marlins on Sunday.
