  1. He looked pretty comfortable on that bench. So did Sheets.
  2. 29-38. Yikes…they could have swept this weekend’s series. The bullpen didn’t show up. I heard the Sox will have the easiest schedule the rest of the way, but I can’t see them doing better than .500.
  3. It might be a rough week in LA too.
  4. The top half of this inning sucked but the home runs in the last inning were an ominous sign of things to come.
  5. Exactly. Keuchel was already DFA’d by now so that’s another reason why I believe Lynn is staying. IIRC Keuchel also couldn’t get through the early parts of the game whereas Lynn has been able to struggle through innings and has had some bright spots this year.
  6. I think to myself, Lynn really sucks this year. But what is the alternative? Pull the plug and DFA him and bring up Scholtens? I don’t see it happening.
  7. Nope but I know there have been issues with falcons in Chicago this past week so it would not surprise me if it happened at the park.
  8. Yeah or one of the posters here with some statistics.
  9. Nobody would. It doesn’t matter what I say but it would make for an interesting call. The show ended without any calls.
  10. Why should I? Let’s get some eloquent analysis out there and get some public ripping on the postgame with Connor. I know several posters eat that s%*# up so they should do it. My call would be to talk about what to do at the deadline which is still a bit premature.
  11. I dare one of you to call into the postgame show on AM 1000 and rip Hahn, Grifol or JR.
  12. Graveman’s first strike to the last batter was a gift lol
  13. Again, because someone mentioned this in another thread, I’m not suggesting the site be closed down. I guess I’m one of the few who doesn’t like things being rehashed and repackaged over and over again. 5 games under? That could work, but there still would be negative comments. Follow the draft and consider the moves they should make at the deadline if they were to retool. That is usually fun.
  14. So what better to b**** about the FO and owner some more? ?
  15. That was a sarcastic response to the usual doom and gloom I read about Hahn, JR, the front office or the players. I understand the frustration but the same re-packaged analysis about the same people and things is old news after a while. It’s wasted energy until we see what they do at the deadline since these Hahn getting fired in season fantasies aren’t happening.
  16. Hahn getting fired mid season just doesn’t seem likely. The bolded is right though. Constantly dogging it to first and not consistently hitting. A barren farm system always hurt, but Williams did field competitive teams as well as find some gems.
  17. Who said anything about closing Soxtalk? My guess is he doesn’t read anything we post and if he did, I doubt he would care since he still has the title of GM.
  18. Let’s see how his next outing goes. I guess we would need to know whose decision it was to get him back tonight, his or management’s. If anything he could have thrown the ninth or waited until tomorrow. Who knows if there is a best way to handle him as he gets back. It makes me wonder if the walks are up significantly this year. People will still attend and JR‘s theory is coming true. Thank you counselor, I think we can rest the case with this one. Is this from Baseball Reference? You’re quick and effective with this stuff.
  19. Oh really? From many posts it sounds like people want a change. Not sure how many of you spend money on this team but cutting spending would be a better way than ripping Hahn, JR and Grifol over and over in repackaged new ways. Maybe not watching or following the team makes sense. Doing something is better than writing the same analytical or short posts over and over about the same cast of characters.
