QUOTE(JimH @ May 14, 2006 -> 08:03 PM) Ross don't worry about it, really. People will think what they want to think, frankly it doesn't matter, it's a message board. Enjoy the games, post from your heart, talk baseball, and let things flow. I know. I've let it go, and I watch the White Sox without coming to this site consistently.

QUOTE(quickman @ May 14, 2006 -> 08:02 PM) you still ramble though... You still misjudge your team, quickman.
-
QUOTE(quickman @ May 14, 2006 -> 08:01 PM) we are out of first and I hate that. Hey, quickman, how's the piece of s***?
-
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 14, 2006 -> 08:00 PM) Thats not true Ross. I believe it to be true, just look at the past, my friend. Though we shouldn't look to the past, but to the present, I could have changed a lot since then...

QUOTE(whitesoxin @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:56 PM) I fully realize that. Now you have to take a step back and realize that people can change and not carry stereotypes, or "reputations" as you call it. The cliques that have been formed on soxtalk are quite discouraging. f***ing Jim Thome why can't you hit a home run when somebody is on base? He does bring up a point though guys. I know what all of you think of me, and that is why I left soxtalk for a long time and when I come back, I come back sparingly. I know for a fact at least 85% of you dislike my posts and see me as adding nothing to this site, so thats why I'm just a quiet fan now who watches the game and learns statistics, so I can at least compete in a small argument. And yes, I believe that I have changed, although you guys may think, oh, thats just beastly talking again, alright, yeah, yeah yeah...
-
Jim Thome! A beast!!! Just beat this pitcher for equal or more runs than we surrenders, he's got a flippin 8.25 ERA...
-
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:48 PM) Nobody's giving up on this team. It just pisses off some people to see our supposed "ace" come into a game when we're already on a skid and have an absolutely f***ing pathetic display. Exactly man, why doesn't anyone get that?
-
QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:47 PM) Gage and I will pitch for free, although I did sprain my throwing shoulder two days ago. I'll throw at Hunter's head...
-
QUOTE(whitesoxin @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:46 PM) Shut up dude, you don't know me. People can change believe it or not. Stop bringing up the past jackass, stop calling me out for one incident. No need for the personal attack, dude.

Wooo s*** BALL! NICE DOUBLE PLAY! And to those who are trying to counter the people being negative...I think it needs to be said that there's a time for venting.
-
QUOTE(quickman @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:40 PM) he and garland both suck. buerhle will give up another 4 before he leaves the game for our s***ty bullpen Amen reverend.
-
Hey pitchers, why don't you f***ing throw batting practice! We have an 11.45 ERA in this series and its pathetic, I thought I've been watching the Cubs lately. I can't believe this, all I want to say is WAKE THE f*** UP WHITE SOX, WAKE THE f*** UP WHITE SOX, WAKE THE f*** UP WHITE SOX!!!

Umpiring at getting a good 50 bucks per game, 2 games a day, 4-5 days a week.

QUOTE(wcw2323 @ May 8, 2006 -> 01:45 PM) I heard a rumor that Charlie Haeger has been summoned from Charlotte and will pitch in Chicago Wednesday night against the Angels. Can anybody confirm this? And so my fellow soxtalkians, this is why we let people speak here on the board, and wait before we can prove them untrue and believe EVERYTHING THAT IS INACCURATE is farfetched. Have a nice evening, everyone.

QUOTE(WCSox @ May 6, 2006 -> 10:44 AM) ^^^ I only recall Bobby having one other bad outing (in Detroit) so far this year. Until he has more, he's still a reliable closer IMO. Of course, he's still reliable, its only 2 BS on the year, right?
-
QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ May 5, 2006 -> 09:29 PM) I am as big of Ozzie fan as everyone else... but this loss is on him. I am tired of seeing our Closer have to enter into the 9th with runners on base. Let him start the inning. I was at the game and it seemed to be a few factors: Firstly, Ozzie left that piece of s*** Thornton in to walk the batter, secondly, Jenks wasn't getting any calls, if you saw how that Umpire was calling it, you'd agree, I believe there was one right down the middle for a potential strike three, and it was called a ball, in which, the whole stadium went quiet. And I was quite pissed to know that Mackowiak and others went 0 for...man, that blew. I hope they do better when I go back on Sunday.

It takes about 33.00 to fill up my Honda Element, its got this reserves system too that provides me with extra gasoline. So it works for me...

Who did we refer to as Kotex boy last year? Mariotti? Also, I think its ridiculous that Williams is acting like a jerk, I mean, first Thomas (understandable) and now Buehrle...I just don't see the meaning of it. Its good to know Buehrle would stay here, I mean, he seems happy here, although, anyone really would be happy here.

QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 11:20 AM) I don't know what the answer is here. I'd probably have to say just keep Gload, have KW scan the waiver wire like he does so well, and dump Ozuna in Charlotte if he finds someone. Like I said, keep Gload, put Pods on the deal and call up Redding. And that Borchard trade was a wonderful deal.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 09:27 AM) The thing is, Tex, if all things were equal (read: salaries), yes, I'd rather have Lee. But half of the selling point in the Lee deal was that we lose $8 million dollars off of the payroll. That allowed us to sign, IIRC, Iguchi, Pierzynski, and El Duque. Do we win the AL Central with Willie Harris, Ben Davis, and Jason Grilli/B-Mac in place of the former three? I dislike "Scotty" as much as anybody here, but I can see why the trade was made. So you dislike Scotty Podsednik, even though he's the best leadoff and only leadoff hitter we've had since Ray Durham? Yeah, okay, I see your logic, and that trade needed to happen if you wanted to win at all. I couldn't stand Caballo, who was a fat slow turd who could be replaced by Konerko and Everett easily. I don't understand your logic is all, no need for fights on why you dislike him...

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 09:53 AM) I swear some people just hear names of players, and forget that there has to be performance merit for a promotion. Just throw out names of top prospects, they are all ready arent they? People mention them, and its pathetic because if they don't do anything, why would they be good up here? Personally, I see the White Sox putting Pods on the DL soon, and very soon, in which case, I see them calling up another pitcher, like a Redding for the bullpen, considering its very thin right now, IMO. Cotts, Jenks, McCarthy, Logan, Politte, Thornton...and supplement a Redding in and see how that'd help. Whats with people saying get rid of Gload? He's out of options and he's still a solid ball player. And his first name is Ross, so you know he's got to be good.
-
QUOTE(RME JICO @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 01:58 AM) I would bring Sweeney or Owens up and give them a shot, especially if Pods is going to be out for awhile. No way. I'm hearing that Sweeney is struggling at AAA and that he's trying to find his swing that he had at AA Birmingham, so he doesn't deserve to be up here just to suck. And Owens, no friggin way, thank you...
-
I believe there are several factors of why we aren't doing well. Ozzie puts people in the wrong spots...why do you put Ozuna in the OF in those conditions? Our bullpen will be able to get guys out, just watch. Right now, they look like zombies. And I like Logan, I just don't think that he and the others are on fire right now. I am under the opinion that the team has little to no chemistry, you can't re-tool a team and expect them to perform already; see the Yankees! I am frustrated no doubt, but lets all remember, it is only April!

Not going to panic yet, but something bothers me
The Beast replied to aboz56's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Kenny will be on this soon if they start losing, I'm sure you don't want to get too far behind. Especially behind the Indians, who I believe will be neck and neck with us this year. -
I left the park because they said 10:30 would be the game time and I was already feeling tired, I've got to go back to school tomorrow, and I have to be productive. =( Regardless, it sucked how we carelessly gave up 3 runs, that friggin sucked. Garr..
