  1. MILLLLLERRRR LIGGGGHHHHHTT MILLER GENNUINNNEE DRAAFFFTTT Its funny, I know two beer vendors at the park. And I know all of who you guys refer to. I absolutely despise White Sox security though, those guys are dicks.
  2. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:47 PM) The big key for Sean is to throw strikes. If he does that his stuff should keep him here. Cliche. Oh, and while we're at it, lets see if this guys ERA balloons a bit more than Montero. Why not call the rest of these quote end quote prospects up...
  3. We'll find a way to get the code working once again and so we can cheat to get our guys in. =)
  4. I think that Chicago sports radio went down the drain since ESPN Radio 1000 lost its rights to the White Sox. Though, Len Weiner said that they were losing money with both contracts to the Bulls and White Sox, respectively. I hate the score, and I can't stand seeing Farmio all alone without Rooney. Singleton is pathetic!
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 07:46 PM) Do not expect anything out of Hermanson this season, he's comming off a very serious injury and the word "retirement" was being thrown around in the offseason, players in that sort of situation should not be counted on to be a big part of your pen. Also, if you thought Politte had a career year last year, just take a look at what Hermanson did. Even if he did come back I wouldn't envision him putting up numbers any better than Clifford. Well, there's really no market for a pitcher right now, so thats why I brought Hermy up.
  6. QUOTE(ThinWhiteDuque @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 02:59 PM) Well, I guess we should just lay down and die. I foresee the Sox taking 1 out of 3 at best in the Tigers series. When will we learn we need bullpen help? Is Hermanson ever coming back? It said 15 day DL but I didn't see if he got transferred.
  7. QUOTE(Sox1422 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) Crawford has a great contract and the D-Ray's outfield is crowded. He should become available by the trade deadline. What do you think it would cost the Sox to get him? From what I hear the Rays want young pitchers. I honestly do not see any trades happening any time soon. I see Mackowiak playing centerfield a lot like he has been and Anderson getting in when he can to get back on track. I just don't see any other teams wanting to trade right now, and I don't see any outfielders for our team in the near future unless they are coming from AAA. Maybe a reliever via the waiver wire, or by the deadline, from teams out of the race. When is Hermy coming back and what was his initial injury?
  8. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 09:40 PM) Hopefully Mark can go out tomorrow nad give us one of his really good performances and shut them down. Hopefully the offense can score a few runs to support Buehrle tomorrow. Anyone else notice how Jenks looked like he was about to piss his pants in the 9th?
  9. I don't know if I'm off here, but, Nelson reminds me of a guy like Nomo who has been bouncing around. Did we ever deal him somewhere? I just think he's still got something left in him if we wanted to even bother. Or what's this I hear about Esteban Yan being designated for assignment by Los Angeles? I don't know, just throwing out a wacky .02 about our bullpen. Or bring up a young guy and see him get beat up like usual.
  10. QUOTE(quickman @ May 14, 2006 -> 08:11 PM) If he starts 2-10 we will be out of it early. This coming from a guy who gives up and calls it quits after a 6-0 defecit and, didn't think we'd get to the Series when I told him last year. By the way, did you ever pay JimH his Gload bet debt?
  11. QUOTE(quickman @ May 14, 2006 -> 08:08 PM) you mean garland? buerhle? Politte? Logan? ... Which one are we talking about? Konerko, your favorite of course. I agree, our bullpen is s***, I hope they get something better than what we have at the deadline.
  12. QUOTE(JimH @ May 14, 2006 -> 08:03 PM) Ross don't worry about it, really. People will think what they want to think, frankly it doesn't matter, it's a message board. Enjoy the games, post from your heart, talk baseball, and let things flow. I know. I've let it go, and I watch the White Sox without coming to this site consistently.
  13. QUOTE(quickman @ May 14, 2006 -> 08:02 PM) you still ramble though... You still misjudge your team, quickman.
  14. QUOTE(quickman @ May 14, 2006 -> 08:01 PM) we are out of first and I hate that. Hey, quickman, how's the piece of s***?
  15. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 14, 2006 -> 08:00 PM) Thats not true Ross. I believe it to be true, just look at the past, my friend. Though we shouldn't look to the past, but to the present, I could have changed a lot since then...
  16. QUOTE(whitesoxin @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:56 PM) I fully realize that. Now you have to take a step back and realize that people can change and not carry stereotypes, or "reputations" as you call it. The cliques that have been formed on soxtalk are quite discouraging. f***ing Jim Thome why can't you hit a home run when somebody is on base? He does bring up a point though guys. I know what all of you think of me, and that is why I left soxtalk for a long time and when I come back, I come back sparingly. I know for a fact at least 85% of you dislike my posts and see me as adding nothing to this site, so thats why I'm just a quiet fan now who watches the game and learns statistics, so I can at least compete in a small argument. And yes, I believe that I have changed, although you guys may think, oh, thats just beastly talking again, alright, yeah, yeah yeah...
  17. Jim Thome! A beast!!! Just beat this pitcher for equal or more runs than we surrenders, he's got a flippin 8.25 ERA...
  18. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:48 PM) Nobody's giving up on this team. It just pisses off some people to see our supposed "ace" come into a game when we're already on a skid and have an absolutely f***ing pathetic display. Exactly man, why doesn't anyone get that?
  19. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:47 PM) Gage and I will pitch for free, although I did sprain my throwing shoulder two days ago. I'll throw at Hunter's head...
  20. QUOTE(whitesoxin @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:46 PM) Shut up dude, you don't know me. People can change believe it or not. Stop bringing up the past jackass, stop calling me out for one incident. No need for the personal attack, dude.
  21. Wooo s*** BALL! NICE DOUBLE PLAY! And to those who are trying to counter the people being negative...I think it needs to be said that there's a time for venting.
  22. QUOTE(quickman @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:40 PM) he and garland both suck. buerhle will give up another 4 before he leaves the game for our s***ty bullpen Amen reverend.
  23. Hey pitchers, why don't you f***ing throw batting practice! We have an 11.45 ERA in this series and its pathetic, I thought I've been watching the Cubs lately. I can't believe this, all I want to say is WAKE THE f*** UP WHITE SOX, WAKE THE f*** UP WHITE SOX, WAKE THE f*** UP WHITE SOX!!!

  25. QUOTE(wcw2323 @ May 8, 2006 -> 01:45 PM) I heard a rumor that Charlie Haeger has been summoned from Charlotte and will pitch in Chicago Wednesday night against the Angels. Can anybody confirm this? And so my fellow soxtalkians, this is why we let people speak here on the board, and wait before we can prove them untrue and believe EVERYTHING THAT IS INACCURATE is farfetched. Have a nice evening, everyone.
