  1. Boom! And that’s a White Sox winner! Games on Apple+ still suck!
  2. Adam Shaheen (baby Gronk as some said). I wanted to see more of Ridley but I also wondered if I wanted that because of what I saw with his brother and how much they lacked talent at wide receiver. They need to hit on these picks and have some of them become long term starters. One draft won’t fix everything, but it makes subsequent drafts easier if more players pan out.
  3. I agree with that and thought they were so close to sweeping them if they could have either brought the runs home in early extras or if they were better in RISP hitting during the 9 innings. I still am optimistic that they can right the ship in May with their upcoming schedule. If they start taking series after series, things could look different compared to how they are now. Do I think they could fall flat and continue on April’s track? Absolutely. But I am one of the few who still am optimistic about the possibility of turning this season around.
  4. Thanks, the gamecast just said Alberto came in and Burger was out with two outs.
  5. And it’s a White Sox winner!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Don’t call it a comeback ya’ll!!! It’s a motha fuckin winning streak! It only took some execution in ten innings and a flurry of roster moves!
  7. Yes we can and should. Be a fan and celebrate a win.
  8. Does it make sense for Robert to ride the bench for another game or two so Haseley can play, or no?
  9. They should play him until he is cold and sit Robert until that happens. At least the guy from AAA looks like he gives a s%*#. I wasn’t sure how I felt about them celebrating at first but then I saw some relief from the guys who still give a s%*# (Vaughn, Jimenez, Haseley and Andrus to name a few) and I was happy for them. I was about to go shower and had my towel in my arm and my hand on the power button on my remote. I couldn’t bring myself to turn it off knowing they still had a chance and after sitting through last night’s disappointing and deflating loss. Although many of you have given up, hate Hahn and are frustrated with the team, I do see some bright spots with some players sometimes. It makes me wonder where they would be if Anderson, Moncada and Hendriks all played throughout this losing streak.
  10. I guess. We will need to wait and see what happens when JR dies. Moving the team wouldn’t be what the fan base wants, selling it to a new owner who wants to keep the team here would be. I guess New York would be different from Chicago since we compare more to the Mets and the Cubs compare more to the Yankees in terms of popularity. That is fair. What becomes of Soldier Field? What happens to the A’s? Which city would take on a franchise like the White Sox? There has to be fatigue with public financing if the Bears need any in Arlington Heights, Soldier Field renovations aren’t paid off and one of the stadiums remain vacant. If they move out of the state, I don’t think I will support them as a fan like I do now. I don’t think I could become a Cubs fan, their culture doesn’t suit me.
  11. Would this franchise actually move though?
  12. I was thinking about what JR could do and how fans would react to firing Hahn, making KW oversee the team and make moves until the end of the year. Then they promote Getz. How would that date around here if the general consensus is to want perspectives outside of the organization?
  13. That was my birthday game. What a fun memory before the pandemic!
  14. I’m not a fan of not having the fireworks after games, I thought that was a nice selling point for the games. They must want fans out of their parking lots and off their lawns. There were some sell the team chants, but it wasn’t as loud as the collective boo when the ducks in right field left, when they made the last out of the seventh and when the game ended. They were actually nice quality jerseys, but I had to settle for a medium since they were out of XL. No big deal, I wasn’t expecting to get one with our tailgate ending 10 minutes before first pitch. Thank you - it is always fun to spend time with friends and family on my birthday every year. The gift of today was just being able to be present and spend time with the people who were with me. Everyone has a way of dealing with the White Sox. I do a soft boycott, where I just watch the games when I feel like it at a certain point. There is a point where I enjoy the team and when things go south I just stop paying attention. In the end it is frustrating and sad that they can’t compete. It’s sad that they are usually competitive enough to be exciting at the start of the year and then it goes downhill. What is also sad is that traditions for families like SoxFest are no longer around. And yet, the gimmicks used to juice attendance to watch this team are bringing in dollars to line the owner’s pockets so he can take the money and blind loyalty to the grave. White Sox baseball…deal with it.
  15. Still here. I’m sorry for the optimism. The game was a good one until the 7th. I won’t be coming back this year, maybe I’ll take my son to his first game at the Kane County Cougars game. I’m just dissecting what happened and what the problems are since it isn’t my problem to fix.
  16. It ends tonight… I’ll be going to my birthday White Sox game with 16 other poor captive people tonight. But I feel like the tide is turning and this will end tonight. Let’s go get it Lynn!!!
  17. I should have waited, the prices came down on Ticketmaster. It might be the only game I go to all year unless I go to welcome Hendriks back and leave.
  18. I’m going to the game on Saturday night for my birthday celebration. I paid $56 per seat in the lower bowl in the infield since I had 17 people going. Maybe I’ll start the game thread to bring good luck and end the streak?
  19. I guess I’m fine that they made the move they did. Carter might not be the best fit in terms of culture even if he’s great on the field. Hopefully it doesn’t come back to bite the Bears. At least Carter isn't a Lion. Van Ness May sack and gyrate at Fields like Raji did to Cutler. My guess is they go defensive end next time. Wright is fine, I am glad they didn’t risk the pick on Skoronski. I didn’t see the Texans trade up to number three and I wonder if they dealt their first round pick in 2024 or if they traded the Browns 2024 first round pick.
