  1. Subliminal Messages. King+Queen, you sickos I hate seeing moronic fans throwing it back. I know a guy who goes to my school who threw a ball back because he said he "hates the sox." Coming back to him I said to him, "If you were half the man I am you would understand anything on this world rather than thinking everything is alright in your preppy jockish world, you worthless piece of crap. Get out of my sight."
  2. I don't think it is fair to compare him to last years totals. That was an excellent season, and we knew going into this thing that Loaiza would never be as good as last year. However, in spite of that, I don't see us re-signing him.
  3. Perhaps we can get Guillen out of retirement! Lets put him as a player manager!!!
  4. Attendence 30,000+ Score: White Sox 6, Tigers 4 I got there around 6:15, and went to my usual spot for autographs, right near homeplate on the 3rd base side. I got Alomar Jr.'s autograph, and then I also got a batted ball from batting practice, and since it didn't mean anything to me, I gave it to a kid nearby, who was in tears when Ozzie didn't come over to sign. That mean't a lot to see him smile back at me and his little eyes light up in delight. The game started, and the ever powerful songs before the White Sox played were blasting into my ears. Passed by quickman's seats, wish I could have sat there because my mom was complaining about people obstructing our view. She also complained about the umpire. I said mom, "You are a fan. You can talk when you go through all the training they go through as an umpire." I am an umpire. Annoying Tiger fans filled the out field seats. After remembering Cheat's story, I said to my mom, "Mom, if they cause any trouble you tell me, I'll get security on them as fast as a squirrel gets hurled 20 feet by a truck." Counted the beers, added up to about 300.00 spent on beers for their part. Shortly after the inning began, the most ignorant one said, I didn't hear any fireworks...who got the homeruns? Uribe hits a homerun and I showed that nimrod up. That homerun that was hit to center by a Tiger player, I believe Young hit it, was nearly thrown back. I got up and started yelling until my throat hurts "Don't you dare! This is White Sox baseball! We aren't ignorant fans! Stop!" And so they did. Food: x1 Nachos (w/heavy jalopenos) x1 koscher hot dog (w/heavy onions) x2 mt. dew x1 double waffle cone x1 Whopper (drove to burger king) x1 orange pop (burger king) Hey, maybe the Burger king and the Dairy Queen should get together, if you know what I mean. Overall Grade for Game: B Quality of Ballpark staff-A+ Comment; Much improved.
  5. Well, true, but with Everett, like you said without Frank, it could work. Timo would pick up the pace and I have a feeling with a move of Crede to the bench, the White Sox would improve at least 3 games.
  6. Magglio Ordonez OF CHW Signed Jul 2001 - 3 years/$29.5M 2002: $6.5M 2003: $9.0M 2004: $14.0M So no insurance policy is listed there, but I bet KW and Ncorgbl would know the answer to your question.
  7. Heres what I have to say. Magglio will hurt us, no doubt about it. But seriously, I'm not worried. We already proved we can win without him. Right now we are on Everett's wings, he is in the cockpit as we speak. Crede needs to start hitting. I don't like seeing Joeblow and Crede in the lineup at the same time. Where is all the "power" numbers we allegedly are supposed to know about? IF Herm said that, Ordonez will be out for 15 days plus rehab. I'm trusting in what he said, but like I hear, he said he HOPES it wasn't worse than it was. However, Herm did say the range of motion is good, and that the fluid is cleared up, so we could see Magglio before the end of the year. As for getting someone- I don't think this would be a very good idea to get Finley. We have Timo, we have Everett. If anything we need to keep playing our best at Ozzie ball and stop worrying about the big things, and start worrying about the little things of bunts, walks and base hits. Adding an arm in the pen is a must, so lets settle down, see how these next 2 weeks go and make a deal for somebody before the deadline.
  8. No one else is going? Damn, this series is huge...
  9. Speaking of which, how much longer is quickman gone? Its been a while since "the pessimists" could talk! Shibby. I await your answer, I got your other one that one time... Oh, and I owe you and Terry beers. Yes, Jim gets one too.
  10. What, would you prefer to be called Mrs. or grandmother Steff? Oh, and about that PM I sent you a while back...you going to respond when not busy?
  11. No, those are great seats. You are sitting to the left of the "green monster," and you have a good chance of a straight away center home run ball.
  12. Sorry Steff, let me clarify. Those are the seats I have. I was meaning the sections over to the left of me. Are you going to the game, Miss Steff?
  13. You are correct and wrong. Online they don't sell them. At the park you can request premium seats.
  14. Section 104, row 24, seats 16-18... Miss Prawn, their view is obstructed, so haha to them!
  15. I only have 2, my mom and I.
  16. Thanks for the reference, but I'm way ahead of you!
  17. Is anyone going to be at the game tonight??? I'll be there, but does anyone know when I'd need to get there to still get main concourse seats? Thanks in advance.
  18. I thought Uribe rolled his knee...ick... Anyway, great pitching by Politte, lights out ball being played...
  19. Shuf If you don't see what you like, get used to it. Its a Chicago Cubs town for the writers. Notice how the Cubs are owned by the tribune. They actually gave the sox better coverage today. And if you don't want to read them, pick up a daily herald or a Chicago Sun Times...how about that one, big boy?
  20. Baltimore 42-50...just an underacheiving year...I don't see any deals being done. Toronto 40-54...not sure what we'd want here... Kansas City 34-58...the only addition I'd see is Mr. Graffanino Seattle 36-57...dealt with them already Montreal 33-61...ditto Pittsburgh 44-48...possible deal with kendall... Colorado 39-55...I can't judge Colorado, they all leave and then they suck... Arizona 31-65...anyone, we'd love to have Johnson I forsee a need for a leadoff hitter (we'll see as time goes on with the Rowand Experiment) and an arm in the pen, and maybe some leadership in a veteran IF...thoughts?
  21. I'm sick of Master of Puppets. It was brought back for no apparent reason, and all these people started saying they liked it when they hated it before. Damn hypocrites. Not you guys but people who I know outside of the boards. I personally like "Fade to Black." Another favorite of mine from back then is Nirvana-Smells like Teen Spirit, and Rape Me.
  22. Oh...I was dying in your arms tonight...it must have been something you said... Early 90's-Vanilla Ice copying Queen, formerly copying David Bowie. Not to mention Princes masterbation lyrics which slapped on Parental Warnings...damn you Tipper, you ain't trippin boo
  23. KW is not going anywhere. He is the best thing that the organization needed after the 2000 season. Its like the way Red Foreman of that 70's show says his 2 cents. "You need a swift kick in the ass." That is what we got. A GM who cared that much to go out and risk everything to get the White Sox what they needed. Kenny Williams, your table is ready.
  24. Look Andrew. If you read closely (pardon the ignorance) you would have seen I spoke of Kendall and possibly a spot starter. Where did I say Magglio was worth a bag of balls and I wanted Ross Gload in right? No where. Exactly.
