Mike Jackson is too old to play in baseball. Excuse me, let me correct myself. The guy is ancient like King Tut. Ick. A 5.01 ERA with 18 ER's. 38 year year old guy who took a year off in the majors, is decent in spring training, makes our team in ST and sucks up on the season for the White Sox. Inexcuseable. Punch his ticket to AAA Charlotte, or punch it to free agency. I really can't stand his performance. Might I remind you of the poor .283 opponents batting average? Ick. This just shows why we need Guardado.

Guys, as of late, what do you think of my posting style, I know its a litte irrelevant to the thread, but I want to ask real quickly.

Forgive me if I said Crede sucks, lets bench/trade this guy. I mean, yeah, you can sit there and say, oh, you are just saying that because he got that homerun. No. Yes, .240 isn't what we as White Sox fans want out of a power hitter. But keep in mind that he is a power hitter who will strike out a lot, and you know, pulling through when we need him is okay too. Crede's 2 run double proves to me why we need not trade him. The guy is a beast. He can hit that kind of pitch with that kind of velocity and angle is truely amazing. Tonights game also showed me why we might not want Urbina, who gives up way to many base hits, yet gets K's. I don't think he's that decent at his current price tag. You can disagree with me if you want to because of his past, but the high 4.38 ERA, 27 BB's, and 30 hits given up proves everything wrong. Oh, and Minney can attest to this, don't give up after the first inning! 2-0, so what? 7-6 White Sox winner. Not bad.

Its just we would give up a lot to Pittsburgh for him, and since I think he's not signed long term, that makes things complicated for us as well. It adds to the price tag.

The White Sox do not need offense. They have Everett. Everett will produce runs as well as Timo in right field. No outfielders, please, unless you will take Borchard (.192, 3 hrs, 12 career RBI with Sox) and Ross Gload (he just plain sucks in right field.) I forsee a gap in the bullpen. Marte, Politte, Takatsu, will help us a million in the playoffs. Adkins, Cotts, Jackson, will not cut it. (Cotts and Adkins are decent, but are not overpowering, and Jackson is just old.) So why wouldn't you want a relief pitcher? The White Sox cannot afford to invest any more money in a guy like Kris Benson, who, carries a price tag on him as well as the chance for nagging injuries. Randy Johnson, the future hall of famer, sure, why not? I'm sure the White Sox would MUCH rather have him than Steve Finley.

I don't think it is fair to compare him to last years totals. That was an excellent season, and we knew going into this thing that Loaiza would never be as good as last year. However, in spite of that, I don't see us re-signing him.
