  1. I’m surprised too. He pitched well enough in spring training that I thought he would crack the opening day roster. Maybe he wasn’t hitting the MPH on the gun that they wanted or it was a situation of too many options and they decided to go young as opposed to having a veteran.
  2. It would be the most White Sox thing to do to IL him.
  3. I agree with this. Hahn has spent a lot of money on garbage free agents that did not pan out, but being hamstring by KW and JR hasn’t helped. My anger is more directed at JR for not spending much when other teams drastically improved.
  4. Go cheap on a contract and take a flyer. You can never have too much talent at offensive line.
  5. Not having star pitching apparently has hurt the WBC according to Manfred. Does he think “star pitching” would make a difference with anemic hitting?
  6. It would certainly be cool to see two first round picks come from a bad Northwestern team. PFF also has some dude named Andre Carter II falling in the draft. Never heard of him.
  7. Schwarber made that look easy. Man he would have been fun to have on the Sox.
  8. Texans reach $75M extension with LT Laremy Tunsil, sources say
  9. What if they drafted Johnson or Skoronski and started them at right tackle, so they could see if Jones is capable at LT? If he isn’t, then they could start the guy they draft at LT.
  10. It seems like at least for this year, they are going running back by committee. I think they draft another running back, maybe one that is more of a catching back. I guess I don’t see as big of a need for a pass blocking back if they have Khari Blasingame and Fields’ athleticism.
  11. Well I think a table with some tailgating goods that is within a reasonable length of your car and not set up for drinking games would be fine in the lots you can tailgate in. The larger sizes of tables and large tailgate parties belong in lot E. They are charging anywhere from $100-$500 per spot depending on the size of the tailgate and the amount of spaces needed.
  12. I always pick Stetson Bennett around pick 200 in my mock draft. It can’t hurt to have a guy like that in the quarterback room. I would take Hooker on a late round flyer, why not. I hope that what happened with him being irresponsible and reckless isn’t a trend of things to come with him. There’s no good comparison but I’d hope he doesn’t have any more questionable decisions or even worse with run ins with law enforcement.
  13. I’m not for that trade, I just think that is what the compensation would be to get Ekeler. Being stupid at that age is one thing, but his weight and skipped activities is a red flag too. I wouldn’t draft Carter if he fell to number 9, in my mind the need for a left tackle is greater than the defensive line, given the depth at defensive line in the draft.
  14. Did anyone read anything anywhere about tailgating getting banned in lot B and how you may have to purchase a tailgating spot in lot E to tailgate? A season ticket holder mentioned it yesterday but I haven’t gotten confirmation on this.
  15. That’s how I drafted today in my latest mock draft. It isn’t out of the realm of possibility for them to do, although Fitz did say on 670 that Adebawore needs to put on some weight to be the 3T in the NFL.
  16. I’m going to need to pull out pen and paper to start visualizing who the Bears have right now and where they will fit in on the depth chart to determine needs in the draft. I’ve run through so many mock drafts it’s hard to remember their needs versus when it makes sense to trade up or down. I still think going for Johnson or Skoronski makes sense with their first pick, unless they trade down and draft Calijah Kancey and pick a tackle in the second round. Or they forget about the three technique player this year and go for a defensive end.
  17. I don’t believe this yet, nobody else is reporting it yet. It does seem like more specifics need to be worked out. Same here. That is assuming they don’t get Calijah Kancey instead and a tackle in the first round. Do they still have the cap space to go get Brown and fill out the roster?
  18. So in your mind, they should have gotten one this year and one each year over the next three years? If Fields isn’t good, then what do the Bears do? I’d love to hear more from naysayers about what the Bears need to do if he’s not the guy. Why so defensive?
  19. They still have a chance at a franchise changing defender if Carter falls. I really don’t understand what else you expect from this trade aside from swapping Moore for a 2025 first round pick? What would you have expected? Age 25, reasonable length and contract terms for a team with close to $100M in cap room. What’s not to like? Remember Kevin White? What if the WR from TCU or OSU are a bust? And who would you suggest they go out and get to fix or replace that s%*# quarterback?
  20. Well my favorite mock draft simulator declined the trade so maybe that is a good sign! ?
  21. Yes, I rewatched the video. Engel too. Some bad defense and base running today.
  22. That’s fine. I just don’t want to see more Joe McEwing and Darryl Boston base running mistakes. And definitely no triple play blunders like that jackass Moncada had last year.
