With the new lineup changes, and with Valentin being a free agent after the season, what will become of the middle infield? Obviously we have a tenative lineup right now that will probably be back to the same in less than a week...but Uribe is under contract and we have Harris too, but who would be a good fit for us in '05? Considering our tight budget, I'd like to see the Sox call up Michael Morse (who is hitting .333 at AA Birmingham) or call up Jeremy Reed (a given) who is hitting .323 at AAA Charlotte and move Harris back to his natural position at 2b? Wow, that'd be a sweet lineup...unfortunatly I don't know where I'd bat Reed, and preferred not to get bashed, so I'd like to hear your views on this one.

Good to hear from JimH against Here is a little backround info on Andres Torres: He is a career .214 hitter :puke He has 8 career SB's and 7 have been CS...shows how poorly and risky he is on the fly. Takes 16 bb's compared to 51 career strikeouts. Enough said, I'd still have Rowand in center as a backup and would rather have Harris in center.

Buehrle is a solid player. Thats all there is to it. As a finesse 56-36 pitcher with a career 3.73 ERA, he shows consistent wins on a outing to outing basis. There is no question in my mind that he did not deserve the money that he got, because he really did earn it.

Unfortunatly I will have to bomb Aaron Rowand on this one. The guy sucks, that stance is costing him his stats. If you look at his stats, his average has gone down almost .75 points from last year. Yes I know it is early in the season, but have you seen his K's? They have gone up while his hits have gone down. There is evidence that he sucks, majorly and horribly. Call Reed up now, PLEASE!

Takatsu is 2-0 with a 3.13 ERA with 3 bb's and 11 K's. In the mean time, Adkins is 2-1 with a 2.63 ERA with 11 bb's and 10 k's. Takatsu most certainly has the edge in his control and his strong offspeed stuff. Beastly's pick of all pitchers for bullpen: Takatsu.
