They should be. Those are the successful teams over the last few years. 1.-3. That makes sense. But I know people on this board think more analytically and would probably want a manager like Quatraro or Espada. Then again, maybe Guillen or Bochy make sense if they want to go old school and keep the same broke and busted club as this year. 4. Fair enough. But if Hahn were to hire one of the two I have proposed, maybe they could influence the investments into scouting, medical staff, development and analytics people have called for. But that is the organization we should hope for and not the one we have.

I’m surprised people aren’t talking more about Espada or Quatraro and are spending more time talking about Guillen or Bochy. Wouldn’t it make sense to add one of these two guys as the manager, given their recent history with successful teams?

Because White Sox fans overvalue their players.

Was Jerry shown at the press conference or did TLR mention he was there? It’s got to just be Ozzie’s opinion of who it will be. I doubt he knows anything concrete. I still don’t know what that means, or if it is really important to know what it means.

Realistically, Williams and Hahn aren’t going anywhere. This is the White Sox and Jerry Reinsdorf we are talking about. However, if Bernstein’s report is indeed true, then I agree with Matt Spiegel’s assessment, they need to bring someone from outside the organization to manage the team and have the ability to pick their own coaching staff without holdovers. Interesting how Leury disappeared from the lineup even though he was given a three year deal, which was mostly because of the HR against Houston last year. And that starting catcher is among the players who can f*** off. Hit some home runs and get some extra base hits instead of trying to just be the Greek God of Walks.
