Not an error but it looked like the ball hit off his glove.
-
Not nearly as worthless as Madrigal and a lot more versatile.

What do you make of all of the dropsies in the outfield - Eaton, Robert and Vaughn - at the start of the season?
-
Moves like Juan Uribe.
-
About time there Andrew “single A” Vaughn.

Recognizing that you have already said you were referring to Chicago’s capacity, what do you think about the Texas Rangers stadium’s capacity and their lack of masks? How could we feasibly treat things differently? As BrianAnderson said, people who are vaccinated not wearing masks will lead to people not vaccinated or those who refuse to comply to not wear masks. I am for compromise but I just can’t see people being truthful enough to comply. I wish this wasn’t a red versus blue issue but it seems to be.

I can’t wait for the Vaughn in LF experiment, the dropsies in the outfield and this west coast trip to end. The best thing that can happen is that they come home 4-3 from this trip.

Madrigal sucks all around. Please be better instead of sucking?

I’m glad I worked through the first half of the game and listened to Len and DJ. Not sure what Giolito’s pitch count was but I was curious why they took him out when they did. Madrigal sucked and Grandal let that one go. They looked like me swinging in the ninth inning like they just conceded defeat. Get through the next six games and if they come home 4-3, I would call that a success. I always have hated west coast trips and always will. Funny that the Angels look like a playoff team but probably won’t win the World Series with this team. Poor Trout. -
Illinois is expanding eligibility on April 12, so I hope I can get my vaccine around then. It would be a nice birthday present to have it by April 25. I also hope that many grocery store employees have gotten the vaccine. It seems logical that they could get it through work but I hope many of these workers get them elsewhere if they can’t get it at work. I want to know if she’s really concerned about the variants even with the vaccines that are available.

Agreed that they should not trade Kopech for Gallo. They will White Sox this hole they have and get someone off the scrap heap until Engel is ready. Maybe sign someone like Reddick for a one year deal. -
I talked to a Trump supporter yesterday and he said that his concern about vaccines is the long term impact that is not known. He would prefer to get J&J because there is only one shot and because he has heard about the additional booster with Pfizer. But I think the overall concern has to do with the long term impacts and unknowns. Great, just in time for my birthday later on in April! A vaccine is all I am seeking and I am glad they are opening up eligibility, hopefully the supply is there.

Of those, I would want Patterson, Gipson, Mingo, Urban, maybe Houston-Carson and Scales back. I still want to know how they did it and what they have left to spend. -

Sorry, same KIND of quarterback as Nick Foles, a pocket passer. I want to know more about the overall plan the Bears have and want to see the rest of the moves made. I’m not thrilled about the move and think it’s probably garbage but I’m willing to see what happens first. They seem to need someone with legs if they want to run Nagy’s offense as opposed to a pocket passer if Lazor is in charge of the play calling. Why not have both types of quarterbacks on the roster? -

I can’t grade Dalton or have much of an opinion until I know the rest of the offseason moves. I don’t see how Foles stays after they have signed Dalton, they might just have to cut him and then draft a quarterback. I guess my opinion of this move really hinges on who they draft at quarterback in the draft. Does someone fall in their range, do they trade up or do they take a tackle and then swoop in to draft the quarterback they want? I’m not really sure what to think about the Dalton signing. An Adam Schefter tweet seems to suggest Seattle wouldn’t move Wilson right now which leads me to believe they didn’t want to take the dead cap they would for trading him. Maybe they could trade him this summer or next offseason when the cap is lower but I doubt it. Dalton seems to be the same quarterback as Foles, so I bet Foles is the odd man out and will be released. They’ll draft another one high in the draft. Tyrod Taylor might have been a better acquisition to mix up the kind of quarterback they have on the roster, so you have the quarterback with legs and a pocket passer. I’m very interested to see what they do with the draft. I also want to see specifically how Dalton’s deal is structured. Maybe he replaces Massie? He didn’t play poorly last year. I would have wanted Williams but evidently the Biggs has spoken against that. Also, the one year deal makes sense in this market, I think for many players we are going to see a lot of them. Aside from the people on this board, I haven’t heard from many people who want to blow this up and realistically that wasn’t going to happen after that January news conference where Pace and Nagy were brought back. I can see how people could be disappointed with this move, but those Watson and Wilson trades were a bit out of reach to begin with. Aside from getting one of them or blowing things up, I’m not sure what would satisfy people, which is why the draft makes such a difference. -

What if the Bears went after Tyrod Taylor instead of Andy Dalton to mix up the type of quarterbacks they have on the roster and then draft Jones? I’d think that would be better. -
I’m glad they are getting this testing started: https://www.chicagotribune.com/coronavirus/vaccine/ct-aud-nw-nyt-moderna-coronavirus-vaccine-testing-babies-20210316-4i5s3zvugbhyfkbprw6gpmv5yu-story.html

So what? Rutherford sucks and is nothing more than organizational filler. -

I heard they can only trade three of them too, but on draft day, Danny Parkins said they could trade four. I’m not sure if that’s true or not. -

I’m admittedly not sure if the CDC keeps track of people they have vaccinated to the extent that I think they do. I’m just pointing out it doesn’t come down to flashing vaccination cards, that doesn’t work. I didn’t get so far to think about resale with StubHub. I thought it might be possible that the CDC would get centralized reporting but I guess not. Hopefully they do enforce social distancing and masks and if people don’t follow the rules in the park, I hope security escorts them out and the fans in the section sarcastically cheer just like when some drunken or offensive idiot gets escorted out. We’ve all seen it happen in those circumstances before. -

If it is an app that is tied to a database that proves someone is vaccinated, that shouldn’t be a problem. You could even tie it to tickets and people could get things scanned at once. It’s not impossible. Not necessarily...it depends on the information being shared. That’s just not true, read about what I wrote above. It’s not theatre either. It protects everyone involved, including the health of fans and employees and the owners from liability. Why not do what I described until herd immunity with vaccines is reached?
