Time will tell what their decision is but I just do not see Nagy being the one getting fired. Pace traded for and drafted Trubisky. Nagy may have wanted Foles but Pace made the move and also fucked their salary cap situation. Something tells me that the amount of openings, a late season surge and the financial impacts of the pandemic will save Nagy’s job.

Bears still have a shot, unless you hate Nagy and want them to lose the last two.

Also going away are some liberal arts programs from campuses as schools lose enrollment in them or students focus on more career focused curriculum. We need more programs that are career focused. What you did with working while getting your degrees made lots of sense. I worked throughout college but I think you had more responsibility the way that you went to school and the amount of work you did year round. I got to the professional world and worked as a generalist in a few fields and I am still thinking of going back to school while working a middle class job so I can have more job satisfaction and maybe avoid more corporate BS by working in health care. We will see. Either way, with automation and a changing workforce there will be more of a need for skills and actual professions as opposed to generalized degrees.

I’m starting to think that Nagy keeps his job if they win the last two games. Pat Fitzgerald? He shouldn’t be coaching in the NFL, it’s an entirely different beast than coaching at Northwestern.

Good. Now create more of them for different occupations. Well, why not start with fixing loopholes so Amazon pays more in taxes? I don’t think Biden would go for a wealth tax aside from higher tax rates. I’m thinking Warren may be alone on that idea.

I remember the primary debates and I thought I would fit more in the Klobuchar camp with the reduced or free community college. I couldn’t get on board with Sanders or Warren with their proposals for college and Biden’s plan for college once he was the candidate seemed aspirational. I did read about the executive order that you mentioned and would think that some loan forgiveness tied to years of public or community service makes some sense, as does some reduction in student loan rates. I don’t know how something would get done through legislation and seem to think it would have to get done through an executive order.

It’s a nice idea, but how would something like it be implemented and would it be means tested? What were some proposals or arguments that you read on it?

Levin was extremely angry and just ranting about how the election was stolen. Hewitt at least has something interesting to say even if I disagree with him on a lot. If there are other conservatives I should listen to that are better and are not peddling garbage to their base I’d be interested to listen to them. One thing I do notice is that they replay the same cuts over and over about Georgia and election fraud. Gee, I wonder why. Any shot of a 2024 run for Pence?

I have been listening to my normal podcasts lately and decided to listen to Mark Levin after listening to Kurt Schlichter backing up Hugh Hewitt’s show. Levin claimed that article 2, section one, clause 2 was eliminated by the Supreme Court not taking up an important election case. I don’t follow him because I don’t see what he is arguing in the section. Is Biden “illegitimate” because state legislatures changed the mail in ballot rules? I can’t really follow the why behind he is “illegitimate” from conservatives I have listened to.

And now the pressure is on Mike Pence to announce the totals on January 6. I’ll take great joy if he has to announce who the president is then and will laugh at the BS shenanigans the Trumplican Congress will do.

I would want to see what John Dorsey does as president and have him hire the GM who in turn decides what to do with Nagy and hires a coach. I don’t think the Bears need someone with fire as coach, there’s too many meatball fans in Chicago who have Ditka in mind and think that would work. One idiot called in the other day and wanted them to hire someone who worked within or played for the organization before since “he would know what being a Bear is all about.” Smith sounds fantastic, hopefully he gets hired by the Falcons.

The conservative show I listen to, Hugh Hewitt’s “The Rundown,” is focused on the Georgia elections and he is saying that Ossoff and Warnock are radicals, especially Warnock for some of his sermons. He plays those and Chuck Schumer saying “We will go win Georgia and we will change America!” His conservative listeners must be eating this garbage up and buying into the Democrats are socialists BS. The other moderate show I listen to, “Hacks on Tap” focuses on Trump, the election and current events. They did mention the electorate and the future of the two parties today on their episode. So I’m curious to know what shows you are listening to as I haven’t heard stuff about being focused on the bogus lawsuits and not the elections.
