Hopefully @Lillian brings his or her thoughts in here from the other thread. There was some good discussion going there.

7/28 Sox/Indians Double Header thread
The Beast replied to southsider2k5's topic in 2020 Season in Review
Is it too much to ask the starters to go 5+ innings and surrender 3 runs or less, let alone get out of the first three innings without having the pitch counts take them out of the ballgame? Sheesh. -

Awful starting pitching, starters getting pulled early, wasted opportunities to score and bad defense in the very first game is not a recipe for success. They should be 1-4. P.S. Why is Engel not starting over Delmonico? Matchups be damned. -

It all depends on your perspective. Moron and idiot don’t refer to someone with a disability. I take offense because I have a family member with a disability and want her to have the same respect and dignity as others. Clearly the word is offensive, so why not use one of the ones that you mentioned when you edited your post? Use one of those instead of using one that is used to make fun of one’s mental capacity. -

It’s not worth wasting time on people who don’t completely say what they mean and others who have to use a word that demeans people with a disability. -

Why did Nicky Delmonico even make the roster? I thought they had pitching depth that could perform. -

I wish the Twins would go back to the stupid duck snort bits they used to get. Put Torii Hunter our there again. AJ Pierzynski would gladly take Jamie Burke’s spot and beat his ass instead of getting bowled over. -

Interesting how the OP hasn’t responded to any of the posts in the thread that have valid responses...

Captain fat orange still says that the virus goes away, which diminishes his credibility even after he says masks make an impact.
-
Greg, there doesn’t appear to be anything that can be done until a vaccine. Masks and social distancing seem to be what we can do. You have to find your own ways to deal with boredom and be productive. I’m not really wanting to discuss past and current policy in Kansas since that conversation historically hasn’t been very productive in this thread. If you have other solutions, let’s hear them. Why isn’t COVID-19 a pandemic? it seems to fit this definition, doesn’t it? ”A pandemic is defined as “an epidemic occurring worldwide, or over a very wide area, crossing international boundaries and usually affecting a large number of people”. The classical definition includes nothing about population immunity, virology or disease severity.” How would you define communism and how does communism relate to the Democratic Party? In regards to DeVos, what has she done for those you have mentioned in her current position? If she did those things in a private sector and philanthropic role, why does she not have a wide range of support? Can you cite specific examples of her work that stand out with links? I have done some reading up on what she has done but I would like to know what you have cited.

How many innings are they playing? -
Don’t worry about it, I’m enjoying this.
-
Who said anything about continually giving money to citizens? If schools open and cases surge, we will be back online and the same people will b**** again.
-
What is communist about Democratic ideas? Why is Devos in the position she is in? Why does she mention school choice instead of finding solutions during a pandemic?
-
That was just from my experience many years ago. It seemed to be common in the 90s.
